Probley the best place in town. Good food cool building. However if this place was in a big city it would be just average.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Call one day in advance for a reservation, no reservation when we arrived. Hostess, Whitney, not nice or seemingly not wanting to be helpful, much less apologize. After one hour and 30 minutes, having only received two small salads, one glass of ice tea(long gone) one Glass of wine, and one glass of water(asked four times for a straw for my water, we which I never got) and our food delivered wrong and cold, having asked our server to find out how much longer for food, which after 15 minutes and he never returned, we left 20 dollars on our table and left. My sister is in chemotherapy treatment and not able to wait for a table, hence the reservation, but I didn’t want to embarrass my sister and try to explain that to Whitney. And this is not the first time I had a bad experience, the only other time I have tried to eat here, they lost our food order, and then they we’re out of what we had ordered! Waited over an hour that time and no food again. Would you recommend this restaurant? Would you ever go back?

Very nice place, I was impressed that this was a really post office, the décor and the art is impressive. Good food(with a cajun touch), excellent music for my taste and superb sound quality. But let’s face it, when a Waitress pronounces«beer» and«one dollar» instantly makes sense to you, In this case the Waitress misunderstood the promotion and I ended paying the regular amount @ $ 4.00. Not my kind of ending.

A bit overpriced, but the nicest and best food I could find on a business trip to Camden

Overall customer service was very attentive. Music and lighting exceptional. Intimate and soft setting. We came visiting family day after Christmas. Low foot traffic. My wife had the burger and it was on the salty side. Homemade fries were descent. I had the surf and turf. Steak was exceptionally cooked with the sauce covering the veggies and steak. The down side was the mashed potatoes. Overly salty and peppery. Overall experience 4 stars

The building was neat! and we got to go downstairs to eat which was cool. When we sat down, we were greeted immediately. Our server was super sweet. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip & a burger! I wasn’t really impressed with the food, if i come back i will order something else for sure. My boyfriend and I got the bread pudding to go. it was amazing, do NOT pass up on the bread pudding here for sure! I would seriously come here just for the bread pudding. My second time coming here: I can never check in here or anything on Unilocal because I have zero service :( The service is amazing, seriously the best We got the duck tenders as an app, they were really tender but the meat and the batter they fry it in is absolutely flavorless! Next we got the French dip sandwich. The quality of the meat was great, I didn’t get any fatty pieces and the meat was perfectly sliced. Not too think and not too thick. But… No flavor. I feel like I’m repeating myself… The loaded fries were the best thing I have had. The blue cheese is a little much because the fries are already so salty and so is the bacon. Plus I feel like the melted cheese, bacon, and fresh chives all have bold flavor. So if I was to pick a cheese to crumble on top, I would pick one that’s less subtle. Again, we got the bread pudding and I wish I would’ve just had that and just that all along, it was amazing. But I can’t justify driving 37 minutes for bread pudding

This restaurant is located in a gorgeously preserved 1898 post office in downtown Camden. Parking out front is easy and the staff are very friendly. We ate downstairs in the bar area for dinner. There is a sit down space on the ground floor but it appears to be reserved for special events or perhaps larger crowds. The food style is Cajun. My wife and I shared a muffeleta and a big serving of jumbalaya. The sandwich came with roasted sweet potato chips. While not up to New Orleans standards, we felt the food was right on target, except for the chips. They were only warm, not hot or cold – either of which would have been better. I ordered an Abita Root Beer(from Abita Springs in Louisiana) which was outstanding and my wife enjoyed a well prepared white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. For the price, this was a really good meal for an out of the way location. Camden was a thriving industrial town until about 12 years ago or so, when International Paper pulled the plug on the local factory. It is now pretty desolate, although there are many old baeutiful homes here.

We came about 15 minutes before closing, but with the service and food, you’d never know it. Not only was the food delicious, it was worth the price. The servers worked as a team, going out of their way to ensure my wife and I were happy and my 1-year-old daughter had a happy time. We plan to go back often!

The best place to eat in Camden. The ingredients and the presentation of the food are excellent. Set in an old Post Office, the atmosphere is truly original.

I’m from Fort Worth visiting friends we ate at the post master last night. We started off with the calamari which was very good. I had the small filet cooked it was not what I consider small especially for the pice. It had amazing tenderness, juiciness, flavor and fine texture. They have a nice selection of alcohol and a nice array of beer. We sampled a bottle of wine which came complete with the correct glass. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

What an unexpected treat! Came in on a Friday night with a party of ten 30 minutes before closing which is always a test of the staff’s resolve and skill. Needless to say, they absolutely exceeded expectations and delivered a great meal. To begin, I was very surprised by the content and diversity of the menu as it looked like something you would see in a major metro area and not small-town Southern Arkansas. The menu was apparently brand spanking new but it showed some very thoughtful choices and had a range of dishes in terms of both price and sophistication that satisfied everyone in our admittedly selective party. The wine list was also very thoughtfully selected with some fairly brave choices that showed me that someone put in some time and tasting to offer a very broad spectrum to choose from. I ordered the Pork Porterhouse which was risky as it’s pretty easy to screw up pork on the grill. However, I should not have worried as the cut was perfectly brined, cooked to perfection(medium-anything more would be a crime), sauced deliciously, and the sides were also cooked just right. The grilled asparagus still had some snap but also had the woody char you want to see when it’s grilled. I also had a chance to try a bit of one of my family members’ Petite Filet and it was also cooked perfectly to medium rare and had that lovely buttery consistency that a properly seared filet will have when it was prepared with skill and care. We were all too beat to sample dessert but this is an excellent place to dine that stacks up with first tier restaurants I have enjoyed in major cities across the country. Lucky you, Camden, you have a gem downtown!

I was in Camden for two weeks on business so I ate here quite a bit. First of all, it’s an awesome building. They did a great job remodeling it and created a really cool space for eating. My first night I had the sriracha chicken, which was actually one of the best meals I have had in a really long time. Great heat, great flavor, perfect portion and presentation. A total winner all around. My colleague had the razorback, which I tasted and quite liked. Another night though, I had the french dip, which was just blah. The meat tasted boiled and the au jus tasted like water. The bread was nice and the soup that came with it was great. I would steer clear of the french dip until they revisit it. It’s the only reason I gave it four instead of five stars. Best place in Camden hands down.

We stopped in on a Thursday night and sat downstairs. Great part of this old post office, remodeled with a full bar and tables. The dinner was amazing! Service was awesome and attentive, but not overly so! The next night we had 45 guests on the main floor for a rehearsal dinner. Once again, everyone was thrilled with the food choices and the service, even for that many people, was amazing. Do not pass up an opportunity to visit this place! The hand cut filet and the Creole pasta were awesome.

My husband and I really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere of Postmaster’s Grill! Although it may be a little high for a small town such as Camden, it it Definitely worth it.

This is a WINNER! Recommended highly by the hotel manager where I stayed, I dined in the bar area, which was small but a great upscale atmosphere. Nice oak wood hIghbar chairs and 4 – 12 seater table sizes; not expected in a small town like Camden. I wanted the soup of the day, the cheddar ale, but was determined to be sold out. My server was very fast, and efficient, but kinda lacked personality I would hope to find in a place this high caliber. I decided on the French onion soup, which reminded me of the old Steak & Ale recipe, which was really stout, like it should be. The entrée was FANTASTIC! Creole pasta with smoked chicken, andouille sausage and spicy creole style cream sauce. It also includes gulf shrimp, but I asked to have in removed due to a mild allergy. They gladly accommodated. The hotel manager specifically recommended the white chocolate bread pudding, so even though I was pretty much stuffed, I had to give it a fair shake. Good flavor and really rich! I’ll definitely be back!

So glad this place opened up in Camden. I have never not liked my food here. The dishes are always delicious and always something unique. I’ve had their petite steak, rabbit pot pie, goat cheese ravioli and so much more. All of them have been excellent, my favorite though is their salmon with risotto. It’s just so yummy that I always end up ordering it. Their bar(which is separate from their elegant dining room) is also a one of a kind. Great drinks, great menu and a great atmosphere. November 2012. I had the Rabbit and Mushroom pot pie… Absolutely incredible. Finished with Pumpkin Cheesecake and fresh coffee. Once again, Postmasters Grill has maintained their standard of excellence.
