The food was awesome. The place is very nice, great Barbour view, cosy and warm next to the fireplace. Very good sevice. Highly recommended.

I just had the most pleasant experience here. The atmosphere was amazing. Waitress and hostess were very nice. I love how dog friendly it was on the patio overlooking the water and boats. Now for the food… I had the New England clam chowder. It was delicious. I was surprised about how many clams where in there. I also had the classic burger on the ciabatta bun and it was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Lastly, I would recommend the sweet potato fries. They were perfectly cooked. I will go back to eat next time I’m in town and I’m pretty sure my dog agrees.

The entire meal was amazing. From the lobster and corn chowder through the gingerbread for dessert. It’s a must stop, and come back, kind of place!

This is a great restaurant in an even better location — great views overlooking Camden harbor. I love their specialty cocktail menu. The food was good also — I had pasta with lobster. You could tell the lobster had just been freshly picked. There is a lot of seafood options on the menu. We will be back!

My husband and I were in Camden for our honeymoon and the one rainy evening, we headed to Peter Ott’s for dinner. The service was fantastic, as was the food. My husband had the surf and turf, I had the lobster pasta — flawless! We had a reasonably priced bottle of white wine, shared oysters on the half shell and enjoyed salads before our meals arrived. All in all, it was a great evening, cozy inside as it was storming out, and was a perfect evening, thanks to the good service and cooking at Peter Ott’s — highly recommended — fantastic menu.

Came here after Unilocaling for a restaurant with a view. Was not disappointed. Gorgeous views inside and out. Menu is perfect for a seaside restaurant. Sure you will be pleased if you come here.

Great meal on the waterfront in Camden. Couldn’t have had a better table. There were gorgeous flower baskets hanging along the canopy. Holly did a good job of taking care of us. Did a perfect execution of his drink order that often causes problems: Bourbon Manhattan straight up with dirty rock on the side. The beet salad with goat cheese was delicious and generous. Crab cakes(we got one appetizer order and one dinner order and both were just what we wanted.) It was busy and things were a little slow at first, but got better as the night got older. Based on other comments here, perhaps more waitstaff would be in order!

My family and I went to Peter Otts for lunch today. To be honest, most of the meals were awful. Any of the fried fish dishes(clams, scallops, haddock, calamari), were completely over fried. My daughter’s chicken fingers were also completely over fried. The worst of it all was the lobster roll I ordered. $ 20 for the tiniest lobster roll I’ve ever had. So disappointing. On top of it all, the service was painfully slow and we had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive. We have been going to this establishment for many years, back when it was owned by someone different. In fact, the hour ride to Camden for a great seafood meal is one of our favorite vacation traditions. Sad to say, we will not be coming back again.

Beautiful spot in the harbor in Camden Maine, watching the schooners come and go. We sat outside, had a nice late lunch sharing a bunch of things. I have not been here for a while, having had not so great an experience shortly after they opened(formally Graffams) glad we tried it again, nice spot to sit and have a bite and a beer on a gorgeous summer day in Maine! Service was very nice as well, especially given how busy it was with all the tourists.

Decent food. Painfully slow service. We spent over an hour and a half at our table trying to get our waitress’ attention every step of the way. Thank goodness we weren’t in a hurry. That said, try the gingerbread dessert; its divine.

first time here. I did not have a reservation so we sat outside and it was a bit chilly — not their fault. there were three of us so my husband ordered two appetizers — the caprese salad and mini crab cakes. thumbs down on the caprese but triple thumps up on the mini crab cakes. I ordered the seared scallops with a baked potato which was good but not a home run. my husband ordered the grilled halibut topped with crab meat which he said was excellent. my daughter ordered the grilled salmon and she said she had better salmon at olive garden. the worse thing however was the chairs. they were very uncomfortable.

Slow service and WAY overpriced. The fish tacos were meant to be blackened but we’re bland. Overall, a very disappointing and pricey experience.

The food isn’t that great and the service was slow. It’s pretty overpriced for OK food. I got clam chowder and fish tacos. The tacos were bland and the clam chowder was OK. It had random chunks of potato in a watery broth. Overall, I would not recommend this.

This was my second time here and my first time in this location. We were a group of 8 including two children. No complaints. Service was awesome. Our server(Eve) was personable, accommodating and never missed a request. From apps to dessert, everyone was happy with their selections and everything was made per order. I am not used to getting this attention to detail in a vacation destination and was pleasantly surprised. The views of the harbor were a big plus.

My husband & I had two dinners at Peter Ott’s over the course of our annual snowy Camden, Maine anniversary weekend. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing on both visits! I couldn’t decide what to order so the waitress playfully suggested I let the chef choose, which I was totally up for. The 1st night he made a perfectly seared and seasoned tenderloin and the 2nd night he chose the scallops for me. Delightful! We also sampled the Pemaquid Oysters. Best oysters we’ve ever had, bar none! All in all our experience was that this chef and this restaurant is amazing. Looking forward to next year already!

The meal itself was fantastic. Ordered a scallop appetizer that was cooked perfectly and both my girlfriend and I ordered steaks that were temp’d just right. Gingerbread dessert and drink specials were great as well. Our server was somewhat aloof but it did not impact service. Room was slightly drafty and if this and the server were spot on they would have earned that fifth star. Definitely would return.

Went here as my husband and I were staying at The Grand Harbor Inn next door. It was in the evening and we were ordering food to go, however we did not receive the greatest service. Not only was the bartender less than friendly, she asked that we sit by the front door as opposed to a table or at the bar while we wait for our food to be cooked. The food itself was amazing. But unless you’re dressed in a tacky cable knit turtleneck sweater, Dockers and boat shoes, apparently you’re not welcome here. Nearly all the staff were talking and joking, not paying attention to the customers themselves. At $ 20 a dish, I’d expect better service.

It was just okay. The view is fantastic if you sit outside. However, I think this place is overpriced for the lack of food you actually receive. I ordered a lobster role for $ 20 expecting a generous proportion of lobster. Unfortunately, the role was miniature and I felt cheated. There is no way there is a pound of lobster on the role like they had advertised. Also, the slaw was just okay. I really wasn’t impressed by anything here except the nice patio. I also felt like our service could be better. Our waitress was too timid and almost seemed incredibly shy whenever she asked us a question. I was pretty confused by that considering it’s wise to be friendly and outgoing to your customers… who at the end of the day tip you. Overall, I like Cappy’s better.

Fantastic waterside view right on the dock. I enjoyed an excellent beet arugula salad, with tasty dressing. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Must say this is the cheeriest wait staff I’ve encountered, it was nice to have such smiling faces and a cheerful presence. They did get a bit busy but made up for it with 2 waitresses assisting us
