Colony Inn & Breakfast Cafe

So this is the type of place where teenagers probably hook up for cheap while they still live with their parents. All I can really suggest is wear socks when walking on the carpet. If I didn’t have a sense of smell, maybe this place would’ve been better. It’s a noxious mix of cheap motel and «are you sure this is a no smoking room?» Management is super rude, to the point where I would’ve packed up and been gone if it wasn’t a family vacation. One man just walked into your room for housekeeping without knocking, regardless of the do not disturb sign. It just seemed a little audacious to me, but maybe I just have a high value on my privacy and my belongings. If you can, stay literally anywhere else.

If I could give this place a big fat 0 I would. We have stayed here many times okay for a basic motel. This time bath was filthy! When we told the owners basically called me a lier but said since I was a guest okay! Okay? No no your bath was over looked own up! Call me right just cuz I was a customer. Needless today if you can not make sure your rooms are clean when you said yourself you personally check every room Holiday Inn can have my business!

I stayed here last month for the Carolina Cup.
It is a very basic hotel, that is for sure. It was clean, but the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The pillows had about 10 inches of loft and NO give. It was like sleeping on a tall stack of books bending your neck in a very unnatural way. They were so high that even sleeping on your side did nothing.
I’d like to add that it wasn’t my choice to stay here, if there was an HIE in the area I would have chose that but this place is very close to the Carolina Cup.
