Great little sandwich shop! My husband and I ate here last week and I’m still thinking about my sandwich. Bread is ultra fresh and deelish. I had the Farmers Pick. I think that was the name. Basically is was a cold Reuben that was sooooo freakin good! Hubby had the chicken salad Sammy. He loved it too! Pasta salad and Mac salad… nothing special. Will def return!

I HIGHLY recommend this breakfast/lunch spot to everyone! Their sweet potato biscuits, cinnamon rolls(they have different types depending on the day you happen to visit — pecan, blueberry and sweet potato are all AMAZING!), sandwiches(on homemade bread), and dessert items are TODIEFOR… The new owners are fantastic — very friendly and helpful and the spectacular customer service can’t be beat. Oh and one more thing… I have noticed some people below mentioning that they are a cash-only business but I wanted to point out that they now accept credit cards :)

It’s the best place in Northeast North Carolina for breakfast biscuits or sandwiches. Everything is home made and made to order. Very popular morning spot and is quick. Cash only, so bring some dough.

My boss’ husband had heard about this place from his coworker and offered to bring us breakfast this past Friday morning. I had the sausage, egg and cheese on a sweet potato biscuit, hash browns and a pecan cinnamon roll. The hash browns didn’t fare well on the trip up due to the grease and it being enclosed in wax paper. Once I degreased it it had a great flavor. These aren’t frozen but fresh made. My biscuit was super moist with great flavor. I’m funny about my sausage but theirs had a nice spice flavor and complimented the sweet potato in a perfect harmony of breakfast delightfulness. The true star for me was the pecan roll. I saved it for later that night as a snack. I poked holes in it, put a little butter on the top then heated it in the microwave for 45 seconds. The roll stood up to the heat and didn’t harden as some breads will do under fake heat. That sucker was plum full of pecan bits!!! I was sooo not disappointed! The wait was totally worth it. We had our breakfast hours after it was made and it was still warm and yummy. Definitely a place to try again and perhaps make a visit to. My boss’ husband is slowly making his way through the menu items. Next up for me is the steak!

Stopped in for lunch after reading other reviews. Got the poor boy sandwich, macaroni, and pumpkin pie cheese cake. Didn’t care for the macaroni but it wasn’t bad, just not my preference. Sandwich was good. Loved the cheesecake!!! Nice hometown, country atmosphere. I’ll be back even if it means driving a bit out of the way.

I go here on Fridays because of one thing: the grilled chicken pasta salad! They have a daily special each day they are open but the chicken salad is the only reason I make the trek out there. I don’t know what they make the house dressing out of, but if they sell it by the bucket, I’m game to spend every last cent to buy it. Delicious! I try to avoid the desserts they have on display, but it’s always a losing battle. They are a good size and will always have you regretting you didn’t buying a second piece for later. The only problem is that they don’t have a bigger place.

Love this place! The sweet potato biscuits are amazing, the staff is sweet and caring, and I love to support a local establishment. I come here every chance I get when I’m in town. So glad that they’re still here!

Mrs Gail doesn’t mean any harm. Her and Mr. Paul are up well before the sun(I’ve heard around 3am) baking all those delicious biscuits, rolls, and cinnamon buns for all of Camden County. I think anyone might be a little tired and not much in the mood for bubbly. Everyone has their days. Anytime I go in there, she is great. Three cheers for Gail and Paul! Just don’t forget: Cash only, no cards. Don’t talk on your cell. Put some cash in that tip jar!

This place has the best sweet potato breakfast biscuits imaginable. It’s our favorite place in town to get breakfast. As far as the reviews stating that the owner is rude, I don’t find her that way at all. She expects common courtesy such as not being on your cell phone while ordering. She has never been anything but kind to our family and always has a smile for our kids. Excellent food at an excellent price in a very family friendly environment.

Outstanding. They are only open for breakfast five days a week, and lunch just four, but it is worth it when you find them open. Delicious sandwiches, homemade white bread, great daily specials, and fantastic desserts. Very reasonable prices. A clear favorite with the locals.
