I Bought $ 110.80 worth of merchandise at Wet Seal(Cambridge Side Galleria location) on Saturday 10÷18÷08, I wrote a check and handed it to the sales Clerk Carmen. The sales Clerk told me my check did not go through so I decided to use my debit card. The debit card was approved. In the midst of the transaction and it being a busy saturday I forgot to ask for my check back, and carmen conveniently forgot to give it back to me. 2 days later I was doing my routine account inquiry, and noticed that I’d been charged twice for the exact amount of $ 110.80. On my bank statement it showed the debited purchase of 110.80 and a picture of the actual check which was deposited into the Wet Seal account. I immediately contacted the store and asked to speak with the manager, she informed me that i was speaking with a manager. Little did I know I was speaking with the clerk that had performed the transaction Carmen. After explaining the situation to her she never mentioned who she was, and that she remembered the transaction which couldn’t have been easily forgotten considering the fact I had the line held up for about 20 mins while she«placed the call and tried to get my check cleared». Carmen simply told me to bring in my bank statement and receipt and that I would be refunded. I was unable to make it to the store that evening as I do not get off of work until 7pm. So I called again the next day and ended up speaking with the real store manager Jeyeda, to my surprise this matter had never been brought to her attention by carmen and she informed me that the store could not refund me that id have to contact their corporate office for a refund… After a little more investigating jeyeda informed me that my check hadn’t been deposited into the wetseal inc account. I know the check was deposited into the Wet Seal Account be cause my bank told me and provided me with a photo copy of the check. I called Wet Seal again to clear up the matter and get a refund but jeyeda was extremely rude and evasive in answering my questions. I was then told that I was given my check back. Okay if I was given my check back how did it end up being deposited by the Wet Seal Store in Braintree? I believe that an employee from the Wet Seal in Cambridge took my check for $ 110.80, gave it to an employee at the Braintree store, took $ 110.80 in cash out of the store’s draw and replaced it with my check, being that the braintree store had no transaction in the system with my check number or amount being used to make a purchase between the dates of 10÷18−10÷22. CANYOUSAYFRAUDANDORTHEFT? I CAN! The District Manager lori finally returned my calls and promised that the company will refund me and has been very apologetic. This matter is still unresolved as of now and I am considering taking legal action. I am disgusted, saddened, and feel used and robbed because of the companies poor choice in store employees… I don’t think I will shop in a wet seal or arden b again! Keyette Wilson

This is for the Wet Seal in the Cambridge Side Galleria. The selection of clothing is ok at this store if you’re looking for some cheap trendy tops that you will wear for one season and then toss. But the staff is so rude! They blatantly ignore you while you talk to them. They act like its a huge bother to take down a shirt off the wall with that long pointy stick thing. Why put the stuff so high up if you don’t wanna take it down for me? I 5’5 dammit I’m not a midget and I still could reach it. I work in customer service and I know how to treat people. Someone send these ladies to charm school. Shame on you for being such biatches.
