I’d never had therapeutic massage before(or any kind of massage, for that matter) but went to Sara out of desperation after physical therapy for an injury was not only unsuccessful but was actually making things worse. I am a convert! After only a few weeks, my calf/foot tendon/nerve injury was almost entirely gone! She seems as knowledgeable about muscles, tendons, and nerves as a physical therapist — only she FIXES the problem instead of exacerbating it. I recommend her highly. My insurance doesn’t cover massage therapy, as most don’t, but my money was well spent on this because it fixed the problem — whereas the physical therapy group seemed only to see dollar signs from my insurance coverage and didn’t fix ANYTHING.

Sara is amazing. She took the time ahead of the appointment to truly understand my needs(supremely knot-ridden neck and upper back/shoulders) and tailor the massage accordingly. She was very professional and open about the process, and was responsive to any requests for more/less pressure, spots to focus on or avoid, etc. She also understands that pain & tightness in one area can be a product of other tension-filled areas, and she was thorough enough to work on those connected areas to truly provide a well-rounded experience. She keyed in very quickly to my trouble spots, and did an amazing job of working them out while making the experience relaxing all at the same time. I can’t recommend her enough.

I’ve struggled to find the best way to manage my tight, knot-riddled neck and shoulder situation and have often left massages feeling like something was missing. Not the case with Sara — truly an exceptional experience that was totally customized to me. Sara took the time to understand my issues and explain her process in a comforting, approachable way. I left feeling amazingly rejuvenated and cannot wait for my next session!

Simply said — Sara rules! I have been seeing her every other week or so for several months. Ongoing Achilles Tendon pain — finally getting better — this after nearly two years of agony and«physical therapy» which did just about nothing. Sara knows how to get deep in there and lengthen out the calves all the way down to the feet. This kinda deep work is intense but in a good way. By the time I leave, there is actually circulation in my feet and calves. I also had a strange lumpy knot in the right quad for about a year — it is GONE. I know — gross, right? But there you have it. My right thigh looks like the left one now — normal — with no lumps, bumps or weird knotiness. If you have knots and crimped up business in the body do yourself a favor and see Sara. I did manage to get a relaxing all over regular old massage once and that was pure bliss. Felt really good and luxurious. For now thought, I gotta stick with the top priority, getting these old tendons and muscles de –knotted. She is a sports injury genius.

I was having some pain associated with a sports injury, and Sara knew exactly how to handle it. She was attentive, engaging, and suuuper nice. The next day I was surprised at how good I felt. I’m looking forward to my next appointment. I’d happily recommend her to anyone looking for a relaxing(yet invigorating) massage.

I went to Sara after getting surgery on my foot. Regular massage was recommended for optimal healing. It’s really hard to let somebody touch a painful surgical scar – you have to trust them completely – but Sara put all my fears to rest immediately. She was very knowledgeable about the injury yet respectful of my concerns. Over time, she has gone from very gentle to firmer work on the foot at exactly the right pace, so that there’s never pain but always progress. I’m not sure how she manages to find that balance, but she does. Although I started going in order to heal an injury, I now look forward to that feeling after getting worked on – like every strain of the day is gone, because Sara is so thorough. She is also remarkably skilled at figuring out the source of pain or discomfort. Often, I will announce that X hurts and she’ll tell me all about the physiology and explain that X might be hurting because Y is out of whack. She’s right! It always surprises me a little to walk in with back pain and leave without it because she worked on something like my hip. After today’s massage, I couldn’t think of any other thing that would make me feel so much healthier after just an hour.
