I ordered double meat Chicken Teriyaki bowl. The portion size was pretty good but the quality of the chicken wasn’t great.

I got the Teriyaki Chicken. It was hot and flavorful. No issues with it but not earthshattering(it is the food court mind you). I had some dumplings and a fountain coke as well. All very forgettable. I’m not likely to return for more.

I have been to various Sarku in different malls. But the food and attitude of the staff at the Galleria in East Cambridge are at the bottom of the barrel. The cashier is crabby, I asked her for a cup of water, she said no water. The food is the greasiest that I have ever seen. Tons of oil swimming at the bottom of the styrofoam container. Come to think of it, styrofoam containers have been banned in Ca for a while, but I guess not in Cambridge. The grill is dirty and caked with black soot. That means the staff is not maintaining cleanliness and I don’t recommend anyone eating their food. I went over to the sushi kiosk for a cup of water and they gave it to me even I was not their customer.

Sorry but the sushi and Mali rolls the sushi chef made is so ugly. Sushi is all about its presentation and its freshness. But this guy made it so ugly that it doesn’t look pleasing to eat. The salmon is not cut into separate pieces but it’s still sticking together. It still has colors stuck to it like the brown flesh. The maki rolls and not even sealed and the rode looks so mushy. He need more practice in his own kitchen before he comes out to make any sushi for people to eat.

The register staff is the most courteous of any SJ I’ve been to, with that said. The dude grilling the kitchen was not happy to be there. The food looked very unappetizing on the grill. I was contemplating requesting a refund. Stuck it through and the final product was consistent with what is to be expected from SJ.

I really appreciate this place and don’t understand the bad reviews. I was hours into a crappy shopping trip, and I was starting to get pissy at all of the screaming children and women in velour tracksuits with bedazzled sayings on the butt, and the guy at the stand near the food court trying to sell clip on hair or whatever who wouldnt leave me alone — no, I will not answer a quick question. I needed to get my blood sugar back up pronto before I cut a bitch. I didn’t know what I wanted walking into the food court until the Sakkio guy handed me terriyaki chicken impaled onto a toothpick. I got in the line and requested terriyaki chicken with extra veggies and no rice. I was expecting attitude because Asian places usually look at me with contempt for not being into rice. But the guy just nodded and $ 8 later, i had my gallon of diet coke and was waiting in line, watching the guys grill the chicken while my mouth awkwardly watered. Maybe 2 minutes later I was clutching a styrofoam container filled with fresh veggies, mostly cabbage, carrots, and broccolli, in my hands and headed towards the least gross food courttable I could find, trying to avoid any screaming children and failing. About 5 minutes later I was looking at an almost empty styrofoam container and wondering how I just ate about a pound of chicken and all of those veggies, but it was so worth it.

Wow! My second«Vegetable Delight» from two different places at the Galleria Food court(the first was from Master Wok, the day before). This one steamed broccoli, cabbage, carrots and cabbage over a bed of white rice, which I received after first watching the cashier argue with a customer when she tried to pay for a $ 6 with $ 3 in cash. «What, I come here all the time, there’s not a problem is there?» said the lady, on break from some nameless law firm or insurance company nearby. The old woman at the counter shook her head. «I’ll just pay for it tomorrow, is that something you can do?» C’mon, Sakkio! Give the people a break! She ended up handing over her credit card — «But only the balance! Only $ 2.80!» she ribbited. I got my dish in an appetizing styrofoam container and the whole meal tasted like I was chewing on a warm, wet washcloth.

Sakkio is one of the most popular food stands at the Cambridge Galleria. Nothing exceptional there, they mostly serve rice or lo mein noodles with either chiken, beef or shrimp terriyaki. They also offer steamed vegetables and there’s nothing special. It’s a food court, what do you except? They are quick and it’s cheap. That’s really all there is to it.
