I was at Salt Fork State Park and we(I) wanted to try to do some antique hunting. I dragged my husband along and navigated to this place based on the fact that it was the closest antique place on Unilocal. This is a pretty standard antique mall. The kind that’s like an indoor garage sale, not the super classy kind. However, I think, this is the best kind. I think you find better treasures at these places. The prices seemed all over the place, just like is par for the course at antique malls. However, I loved walking around here and I did manage to come home with 3 new treasures.

Step back into yesterday. This spot is worth a stop. Particularly the toy and collectibles room downstairs.

Good selection, but poor service. Waned two objects in a locked case. Asked at front. She was busy and told me to find her associate. He was downstairs, helping with a vendor, setup a stand. And he said to go back to the front because he was busy. Result, I left.

Penny Court(PC) is, to this date, the most exemplary antiques store I have ever visited. I grew up locally, but did not visit PC for the first time until I was 16. I was immediately awe-struck with the whimsy of the treasures that filled the 3 stories of this former department store. Upon entering, the first floor is filled with gorgeous furnishings made of hand carved woods and the finest velvets. In addition to these luxe furnishings, this is the only antiques store where I have seen genuine vintage fur accessories. From a full length mink fur coat to shawls and hand-warmers, PC has the most beautiful and rare fur pieces(most made from a local fur shop that closed years ago) that any woman who has dreamt of luxury could ever imagine. As if the lovely vintage furniture, fur accessories, and formal clothing on the first floor weren’t enough, the basement is where the true gems lie, undiscovered. The city of Cambridge was largely popular for its glassware crafted by major companies such as Boyd, Mosser, etc and PC is fully of hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind glassware that is unlike anything else. I have found beautiful pieces of ruby glass including a ornate hand bell and candy dish that fades in color and is covered in a perfectly crystallized, transparent pattern. Also in the basement are some truly unique pottery pieces! From teapots to cake plates, there are all kinds of rarities in this truly unique niche for antique lovers and eclectic souls alike. I love Penny Court and will visit every chance that I get… after I eat at Theo’s across the street, of course! :)

LOVE this antique mall! All kinds of treasures waiting to be found from old toys, dishes, clothes, furniture and everything in between. There are many different dealers so the merchandise is always changing. This will always be a stop when we’re in Cambridge!
