Lapel’s Dry Cleaning

Closed on sunday because of mothers day. So thats annoying. But their cleaning service is mediocre at best. Didnt clean a stain out of the collar of a white shirt and then pressed it. Hopefully ill be able to get it out. Otherwise — they just ruined one of my favorite shirts.

What’s up with this place? The sign on the door and on line says that they are open at 7:00am. I’ve stopped by at 7:15, 7:30 and 7:45 and they are closed. Weirdest business ever…

Posted hours on door say they open at 7am. I’ve stopped by twice to drop off between 7:30 and 7:45 and they are not open. Not dependable.

I was happy to see that an environmentally friendly dry cleaner was opening up in a conveninent location. I brought my favorite pair of work pants in. The woman was very courteous and welcoming, so I had no problem with the service.
I asked what chemicals they use to make it «environmentally friendly.» She said they use hydrocarbon and not perc so she assured me that it was safe. I later googled hydrocarbon and found that it is almost as cancer-​causing as perc. Here’s my source:

Strike ONE.
I picked up my pants and they completely ruined the shape! These used to fit me perfectly, and now they are pull in weird places and worst of all they put a harsh crease on the front and back so it looks like I’m wearing pants made of paper. There are also shiny areas on the fabric that show where they pressed them too long.
Strike TWO.
The result is a complete disaster. I will never go back there.
