I got a new Macbook Air for my wife’s birthday and was contemplating getting some nice laser-etched artwork on the case. Of course Danger Awesome immediately came to mind as I know they are pros at this. After chatting with Cody I actually ended deciding to get some custom vinyl decals made with the same artwork that are both(A) much cheaper than the laser etching(I got 4 of them for $ 30) and(B) less permanent(duh) They came out looking *really* good and I definitely recommend this if you are on the fence about lasering up your expensive new computer. I actually like the look better than laser etches as the solid vinyl has a little more pop to it, and they have a nice feel. Go with white vinyl.

Danger! awesome is an interesting place. I recently bought custom made glasses with stainless steel legs so that I could have them engraved, and so I brought them to Danger! awesome because the person I spoke with from their website had quoted me a super reasonable price and quick turn over. Other places wanted me to leave my glasses over night, and I kind of need them to drive so that wasn’t the best idea. Here, I was able to just walk in and walk out with the glasses etched in an hour. Bingo. This is the part where I had to take off a star. The lack of confidence in the employees is infectious. «What temperature do I set the laser? I forget» «I don’t know, try x» «No don’t listen to her do y» «Wait long enough so it doesn’t catch fire» «cover the lenses so they don’t scratch» «I won’t scratch them I don’t need to cover them»(in a half-whisper) «dude, those are custom made, so don’t mess this up or it’s going to be super expensive to fix»… I was going to have both sides/both legs etched but my anxiety was through the roof after one side was finished that I needed to bail. I’m very happy with how the final etching came out, and my glasses are super cool now. The stress though of watching my glasses sit in a machine under a laser while the person working it can’t get a definate answer from anyone about the settings he needs to use that could potentially melt the glasses, it was too much for me. If you’re a bit more carefree and not etching something like custom made glasses… you’ll probably have a 5 star experience.

This place is great! They taught us how to do laser cutting and we then used their machines to cut all our own wedding invitations. They helped us whenever we got stuck and also gave us a generous discount on the per-minute fee. I was exposed to just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what they and their technology are capable of… The only reason I didn’t give a 5-star rating(wish I could give 4.5) is that I think they could stream-line /organize the appointments system a little better. It is pretty laid back, but ultimately it all worked out in the end. Overall, this was an awesome! experience. Check this place out if you want to learn something new or just get your creative juices flowing. Thanks again for everything danger! awesome.

This place was Dangerously! Awesome for sure. Wanted to get my growlers etched for home brewing and not only were they the cheapest place in the city, they were beating prices all over. I worked with both Mike and Jack, and both were super great. Growlers were done quicker than expected, and when I was in the shop to drop them off, my mimd went racing. Its dangerous to be around such awesome stuff for so long that I had them make some hanging tags. for kegerator which they did in a day. They were also great with helping me with my logo, and changing it to the correct format. Looks like I know where to go for the rest of my etching needs!

How is it that Danger! Awesome doesn’t have more awesome reviews? We’ve walked by this place many times and finally had a reason to stop in. They made us three rubber stamps to make our wedding invitations with and they’ve come out beautifully. Moreover, making stamps with the Danger! Awesome team was much cheaper than sending away for some custom made stamp, and they turned it around in only a few days. Definitely stop in to check out what they’ve made– there’s some excellent inspiration!

Who wouldn’t want to know about this store? I don’t believe I’ve heard of anything like it. Except for the daunting work Danger(with exclamation point in name)… it’s really awesomer than I could imagine. I had heard that they laser sh! t here. But I didn’t know what they lasered until entering — carefully — ever so carefully. I also thought that you do the lasering yourself, but this is not the case. Perhaps they would let you try it, but don’t quote me on it. If you’re too scared to enter, check out the items on display on their storefront: + etched pint glasses + images lasered onto wood + laser cut metals + etched metal + laptops(kindles.hmmm) + word of ability to do some plastics, too + human flesh(not) Your best bet is to stop in for a chat if you’re thinking of having something lasered. It seems that they can do it all and in a variety of sizes. But if you’re like me and aren’t 100% sure what can go in a laser machine, just ask. They will also do a custom design for you, but for cost savings I would suggest getting their email and sending a pattern to the scale that you wish to apply the laser(and provide your own medium). So cool, really, and their lasering skills are almost better than yoda’s.

This was such a fun experience. I’ve been wanting to get my laptop laser etched for years. I happened to be walking by the store and saw that they were having a deal: laptop etching for $ 60. It may have been the happiest day of my life. I quickly had my laptop and design in hand. I didn’t have a vector image, but in a short time, they had me all set. I should probably mention that my laptop is everything to me. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack walking it over. To me, this was akin to some momentous, life-altering decision. I suppose some people get tattoos for their quarter-life crisis; I got a laser etching. Regardless, the people at Danger! awesome put me at ease right away. The design came out beautifully. Perfectly. It probably took about 30 minutes total, and it was well worth it. I’m already thinking of what else I might want etched!
