Fantastic Tom Yum and Ton Kha soups. Our favorites are Pad See You and Pad Thai! Generally fast service and great prices!

This is phenomenal Thai food! I really enjoy their Green Curry and their Eggplant Basil Curry. The sticky rice is nice too. Between here and a couple places in NYC I have tried, it’s the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand or Indonesia!

I’ve always ordered ahead and haven’t eaten in the restaurant(yet), but each time the service is speedy and the serving size is well worth the amount you pay. I’m only in Boston for one year and I definitely plan on eating here as often as I can.

I am extremely tough on Thai food. I spent a month traveling through Thailand last year, and since then, it has been a great struggle to find anything better than mediocre in the USA. This place is an absolute hidden gem. I had the best red curry in years! Perfectly spiced with a large variety of vegetables. I got the lunch special which included 2 sides(I chose tom yum soup and pork dumplings). Both of the sides greatly exceeded expectations! The variety of vegetables in the soup was outstanding and was made with great care. The pork dumplings… delicious! I was shocked to see that this wasn’t reviewed better… so I scrolled through all the reviews. The majority of the bad reviews were about the delivery service. While I did not get delivery and cannot rate that service, I can say that the food here is 5 stars and must be tried. If you are lucky enough to be located close enough to this joint, make sure to stop by. The lunch specials are incredible value and the curries are top of the line!

I ordered Curry Thai through Eat24, and with every delivery order I entered in my full address including my apartment number. I did not enter in my phone number, this must have automatically been sent with my email address. I waited over the allotted time, and noticed an email from Eat24 saying my food was here and I needed to meet the driver at the door. Though, I never received a buzz at my apartment from the driver. He was too lazy to get out of the car and actually deliver the food. Instead he called me, but at a number I never provided, so I never received the call. I called the restaurant and the woman tried fighting with me about my phone number, even though I never actually entered any phone number into the order screen instead of trying to contact the driver to bring the order back when he has a chance. I’m extremely disappointed, as the delivery man should know what his job entails — actually delivering the food and not just driving it to the curb. With the so so reviews I’ve read and this experience — I’ll never attempt to try this restaurant again. And I recommend others considering this restaurant, to STEERCLEAR!!!

The guy there barely pays attention to you. He’s always on his phone. I have tried different dishes and they are mediocre. I do not recommend this place.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Cambridge. Their drunken noodles is some of the best I’ve ever had. I usually get the tofu drunken noodles(extra spicy) and it always turns how just the way I like it every time. I have only ever ordered for delivery but the service is speedy and food is hot when it arrives. Yum!

Came here after kayaking on a hot, hot day. After walking to The Similans, only to realize that it was closed, we walked for an additional half an hour to get here. We saw the so-so reviews but were absolutely famished. The food wasn’t bad. It was fresh, but the flavors weren’t very complementary. My friends absolutely hated their dishes, which contained curry. They said it tasted nothing like authentic Thai food. I had the drunken noodles, which was topped with crispy chicken. The restaurant itself was very stuffy. The AC was either on fan mode or it was busted, because I was sweating in there. Overall, I can’t say I was impressed.

Quaint, authentic Thai place located in East Cambridge. Family owned and operated, I wandered in on a whim was greeted with a kind smile and told to pick a seat. Being that it was at the end of lunch, there were plenty to choose from. I just recently got back from a month stay in Thailand so I already knew which dishes I would try. Som Tum: fresh green papaya salad with tomatoes, string beans, and peanuts in a fresh lime and fish sauce. A staple in a Thailand, and one that I’ve tried in several cities in the US that just doesn’t seem to as authentic. Curry Thai made the best I’ve had here. Perfection. I ordered it spicy and they made it Thai spicy, which is what I prefer and not some diluted American spicy. Tom kha: coconut and lemongrass soup made with mushrooms and chicken was the right combination of citrus and creamy. There was a lot of chicken in my soup as well and it was the perfect counter to my spicy Som Tum. The waitress was attentive and kind. I ended up staying and working from my laptop and I never felt rushed or uneasy. Would highly recommend and I can’t wait to try Curry Thai again!

Ok just had a drunken noodle that was so good that if this had been a Johnny Depp movie I would’ve had to walk into the kitchen and shoot the chef… it was that good. I mean perfect drunken noodles spicy as hell, perfect amount of basil, noodles still had texture, fucking slap yo mamma perfect!

So torn on this review. The food is good but the delivery is EXCEPTIONALLY slow. 2 hours slow. Twice the amount of time they tell you it will be there slow. Had my clothes been in style to begin with(they’re not) they wouldn’t be by the time dinner arrived slow. Slow. The food IS pretty good… but with dozens of similar options in the area we are going to consider switching our go to… I always get the drunken noodle, the wife goes for the yellow curry. Can’t really go wrong with either.

Stopped in here looking for a simple tasty Thai meal to take back to my hotel. Did not find it tonight. Restaurant inside was not air conditioned, so best for take out or delivery. I ordered the fried tofu appetizer which was ok, but needed a more flavorful sauce and more salt. Good portion size. My go to on the road Thai dish is basil fried rice, extra spicy, and I usually find a good meal. Not tonight. The rice was mushy and did not have that nice curry/spicy flavor. It was hot, but not tasty. The vegetables and onions seemed undercooked. But the biggest disappointment to me was the chicken I requested was absolutely flavorless and unsalted. These chunks were simply tossed on top and heated by the mix. They were not stir fried with spice or onions or anything. Not enjoyable. Also found when I got back that I did not get any plastic ware to eat the food. Simply not good service today!

Not the tastiest thai food, and the lunch specials(at least for takeout) are quite small.

My husband and I used to get takeout here a lot, but then didn’t for a long time. The food was inconsistent at times, but always good. We only stopped going here because our habits changed. Then one day when I was home sick I came back to get lunch to go. The soup I got was good, but the entrée was obviously leftover and reheated. I was very surprised and disappointed. After reading some of the other recent reviews it seems like Curry Thai has really gone downhill. I don’t think we’ll be back, sadly.

Came here with my family for lunch on Friday. We ordered a shrimp Pad Thai, two duck fried rice, and a Curry Thai sampler, which consisted of 2 spring rolls, 2 shrimp rolls, 2 chicken skewers, 2 wings, 2 pork dumplings, and 2 crab rangoons. I also got a hot Thai tea. The food was good, but the fries rice was a little on the greasy side, but still tasty. The crab rangoons were really tasty, and I think had real crab meat. The service was also fast. I frequently order takeout from this place and the food is consistently tasty and the portions are very generous. Though I usually order fried rice and can’t have it too many times in a short period of time without feeling sort of sick because it is a bit greasy. Also their sticky rice with mango dessert is delicious! And is a good palate cleanser after fried rice if you have room!

I’ve eaten in and ordered delivery from here. The food is inconsistent. Eating in experience was good, one takeout was decent, and the other was terrible and super late. Portions were super small all times and they have the tendency to over the few pieces of seafood in your order. There are plenty of better places to order from.

I have ordered here many times(eat-in, take-out, & delivery). The food is pretty good and fairly priced, though I have found the flavor and quality to be inconsistent and the lunch portions are very small. However, the main reason for the bad review is that the Asian guy(owner’s son?) who works here is extremely rude. He is the sole waiter/host and even when they’re empty, he ignores customers to text on his cell phone. When you ask him for something(or to check on your food that you ordered over 30 minutes ago), he rolls his eyes and walks away without responding. If you complain, he gets defensive and starts yelling at you. If you order delivery, they rarely meet their estimated delivery time – sometimes off by more than an hour. If you call to check on your order after a long wait, the same guy will«cancel» your order without any kind of apology or compensation.(It reminds me of that Seinfeld episode: «No soup for you!») If they get your order wrong and you call to let them know, he will call you a liar and hang up on you.

Lunch specials are a great deal! Two apps and a lunch sized portion(limited options). I enjoy their Siam rolls and the Tom kha(chicken and coconut) soup. Their dumplings are on the small side so I prefer the rolls. They always add enough or extra meat to their dishes. I’m never looking for it or feeling sad because there isn’t enough! Red curry– I get this the most. The lunch special is great. It’s flavorful and I never tire of it ^_^. There is definitely enough to fill me up. Yellow curry-love love love! The dinner portion is huge. I always get it and share with my bf and we make our own rice. The side of rice is never enough! Massaman curry– I’ve asked to have this spicy but it’s always mild. The taste is good but it’s on the plain side. There are chunks of potato and carrot + a decent portion of meat. Pad thai– I’ve gotten this with the wide noodle instead of the regular size. It was ok but was missing something flavor wise. Everything about it is average. I’ve had it a few times for takeout and it’s been pretty blah. Hot basil– ask to get this extra spicy because they WILL do it. Huge chunks of meat and veggies. Drunken noodle-another go to. The noodles are always perfectly done and the taste is great. I’ve been eating here for the last three years and will continue! Great quality and value.

It’s not DiGiorno, but it is delivery! I was at my friends’ place and they wanted Thai for dinner, so I got introduced to their Thai delivery of choice — Curry Thai. They tend to favor the rice plates, which turned out to be the Combination Plates — which, by the way, make no mention of coming with rice on the online menu, but they do! These Combination Plates at dinner time come with your choice of three sides: Siam Rolls(2 pieces) Pork Dumplings(2 pieces) Veggie Tom Yum Soup Chicken Coconut Soup And are priced based on the protein(or veg) of choice: Chicken, Beef, Pork, Tofu, or Vegetable $ 10.95 Shrimp, Seafood, Duck, or Crispy Chicken $ 12.95 I was feeling veggie, so I ordered the #14 Eggplant Basil Combination with Tofu since that’s the way the dish was described under the Vegetarian Options side of the menu: Sautéed eggplant with onion, peppers, yellow bean curd, garlic and Thai basil. My dish was tasty, the vegetables well cooked — I prefer my Chinese Eggplant on the soft and mushy side — and good amount of it! The portion — sides and all — would surely have fully satisfied my appetite. With the addition of homecooked brussels sprouts and mushrooms, however, I had enough Eggplant Basil and rice for a light lunch the next day. Speaking of which, the Siam Rolls were nice and crisp, and my preferred side of the three I selected. I’d probably do without the Chicken Coconut Soup next time since it just isn’t to my taste, but it was fine for what it was with its tangy flavor, floating sliced mushrooms and tender pieces of chicken. The Pork Dumplings were okay too, but nothing special. I’d probably go with a double order of the Siam Rolls and a single order of the Pork Dumplings. We ordered enough to redeem one of their online coupons for a free appetizer(an order of crab rangoon for a $ 30 purchase). I think there were either 5 or 6 of the thin crisp triangles in the take out baggie. It stood out in its presentation since I’m used to fatter forms of bundling, but it was a tasty version of the Chinese American food experiment. Speaking of deliver, you have a choice — the restaurant can personally deliver, or you can order through Eat24, or Foodler. We ordered direct. (my 800th review — whoa!)

Apparently there are some people that really like this place, but I’m not one of them. Positives first because Unilocalers should never aim to crush a place’s spirit based on one experience(you know who you are!): small delivery fee($ 2) and low minimum order($ 15). Also the food came really hot when delivered. Delivery time wasn’t too bad– 1 hour for a Saturday night, though it was definitely a not busy time(4:30pm) Negatives: After getting my food I didn’t like my main dish(Choo Chee Curry) and sticky rice so much that I only finished the edamame. The edamame was good after I added some olive oil and chili salt I had laying around. *Update: Downgrade to one star from two because I got sick from the food… Ugh
