Biggest piece of shit Internet service I’ve ever came across. Ordered my Internet for Friday, wouldn’t work. Called tech support Friday Saturday and Sunday because I started college classes Monday ONLINE and they said they couldn’t do anything about it until Thursday! and they told me that I might have to pay a minimum of $ 85 to get the problem fixed! Even talked to a supervisor and they were total assholes about it and didn’t care about me having classes start. It’s definitely worth it to pay 10 to 20 more a month for a different Internet company! Do not chose them.

CenturyLink was unable to fix intermittence(IP Dropping constantly) They blamed my modem so i leased a new one from them. They came out a few times and ruled out the fact it was or wasn’t inside wiring problem.(wasn’t) They did a free homerun hookup(moving 2 wires from one jack to the other jack in outside NID box. They still blamed my inside wiring. So i ran a new wire and tested. Same issue. They said my signal is bad. Their wiring. I gave them 3 weeks to fix their wiring, node or dns. They failed. I reported them. They let me cancel with no fee after complaining a lot. I suggest you do the same if you want to have reliable internet. Don’t let CenturyLink lie to you and waste your time. The #1 fact is. I have lost income because of CenturyLink. p. s. CenturyLink also uses a 3rd party DNS ‘hijacker’ service which logs your port 80. You are unable to disable this service from the webpage and also in-house they are unable to disable this shady service. They give the option to disable it but are unable to fulfill this request on helper webpage and over the phone from their end. I recommend filing a BBB report about this company if you are unable to disable WebHelper.
