Here’s a hint for management!
Your bakery is going down the toilet!
Just went to your store at 6:05am and not one bagel in the bins…
What would make me expect to see them stocked again?
Your bakery people looked sleepy and confused…
Motivate bakery people or replace them!

Rick and John Are the best there is they were extremely helpful with all of our weird requests. They deserve promotions !!! Thank you guys!!!

While this is my go to grocery store it is crucial to get the timing right. Obvious by the long check out lines and busy aisles there are not many options on this side of town. The staff is always very friendly and I enjoy getting fresh fish on a weekly basis.
While the deli doesn’t always seem to have the best of choices I enjoy being able to order from the sushi chefs on site. The produce is hit or miss just as parking can get a bit testy. Everyone’s in a rush to run people over to get where they need to be. I suggest coming late at night or mid morning before lunch hours to avoid the crazy scene that can be this Vons.

Asked for a cup of water at the Starbucks and it was $ 0.25. I only bought it because I was dying of thirst. I admit I was upset since usually restaurants give cups of water for free. The barista was nice though which is the only reason I’m not giving this place one star.

I special ordered a cake for my husbands birthday.
Delicious! Chocolate truffle cake with strawberries, blueberries and
blackberries on top.
Better than any local bakery cakes!
They also work fast.
I will order my cakes here from now on.

It’s ok it’s just your average Von’s store, It’s good if you need to grab something real quick and don’t want to drive further out.

I don’t really need to shop at ‘regular’ grocery stores– my usual places include Trader Joes, farmers market on Saturdays in Camarillo Old Town and Whole Foods/​Costco
BUT I have to bank at this store for my business and will pick up random things like wine and beer. Everyone I have dealt with has been downright sweet. I think it’s one of the managers– guy with big mustache, is just plain nice and friendly and funny too. Another gal that has rung up my stuff is always chatty and friendly. I’ve run into Vons in the valley and other places around LA and I just think this Vons is really clean and friendly in comparison. Only complaint is that the store is really cold. Has been for years– like since 2001, lol. But, can be forgiven… I guess I just love Camarillo and find most folks here really friendly– the staff at the store is part of the local charm.

I’ve been to 13 different grocery stores in Simi Valley, Moorpark, Oxnard, and Camarillo — EVERYONE is out of Brussels sprouts, which happens to be my signature dish for Thanksgiving. Of all the stores I visited today, Tom in produce at Vons in Mission Oaks was the only person who went the extra mile to help me. He found a box of Brussels in the back refrigerator and even helped me to checkout. It seems so rare to experience excellent customer service these days, especially in large corporate-​type stores. Tom was so friendly and extremely helpful, truly going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
My entire family of 20 looks forward to my Brussel sprouts (wine, cream sauce with Gouda cheese & bacon) which I only make once a year! I’m so grateful to Tom that I’ll now be able to continue with a family tradition. Thank you again!!!

I go here for breakfast some mornings and I go to the deli to get their breakfast sandwich or burritos. I always have to wait a long time for an employee to come assist me, despite them seeing me standing there looking at the menu. They give off the vibe that they don’t really want to be there or be helping you. And it’s consistent across the board, not just one or two employees, it’s everyone I’ve ever had the ‘pleasure’ of helping me. Otherwise, I enjoy the food and it’s pretty cheap and less processed tasting then fast food restaurants. I’m not even expecting very much but just being attentive, smiling and saying a simple greeting/​farewell would be appreciated.

RUDE BEYOND BELIEF! The women working at the floral department was quite rude and disrespectful. This is the second time I’ve encountered her working and I am still throughly disappointed. I wanted to place an order for a few corsages and a bouquet to pick up Saturday at 10 am and she began to argue with me about how I need to change my pick up time because she doesn’t get in on Saturday until 9 and that isn’t enough time for HER. She then asked if I could make my order smaller or I would need to pick up my order around 12. This isn’t the first time I’ve been upset with my service here. Last time, I tried confirming my order for a bootineer for prom, and she claimed that I never placed an order and never paid even though I had my receipt from paying for it a week prior. She then gave me attitude about what color ribbon I wanted and argued that the ribbon I wanted would look ugly and I should let her decide what to use. Never coming here again for floristry. If I could give this no stars, I would. It doesn’t deserve a single star

This is literally the worst grocery store I think I’ve ever been to. Not only is it over-​priced, but there is almost always never enough cashiers, the store is small and dingy feeling, the produce is not that fresh, the deli and meat department do not impress, and more than a few times of me going here I’ve bought things like bread and cheese and noticed that they were either really close to their sell-​by date, or already expired! You really have to be careful and check the dates on everything you buy here, their management must be slacking or something. It’s weird for me to say that about a Vons because they’re normally one of the higher-​end grocery stores, but this place is quite the exception. I happen to live walking distance away from this grocery store, so it’s a shame that it’s so terrible. I will go out of my way to drive down to Ralph’s or trader joe’s, however, before I’ll even think about shopping here. I’ve been jipped by them one too many times. You’d think with it being in such a nice area it’d be better-​run, but that is not the case, sadly. I hope they improve and I can change my review from being so negative, but man, there is really no excuse for this location being so bad. The truth hurts I guess. I’d recommend shopping at Ralph’s or Trader Joe’s if you’re grocery shopping in this area. Maybe Albertson’s or the other Vons in Camarillo, but not this one.

Horrible, they never have registers open. The lines are ridiculous, I would rather drive across town to the local Walmart grocery store then put up with that.

Very helpful staff, I didn’t find some olive oil I needed on the shelf, but on of the baggers went in the back to check and they had it! Albeit this isn’t a quick in and out trip, they have what I need and that is all that matters, not to mention, I had shoulder surgery recently and the young man bagging my groceries helped me out, no problem! I will be returning soon

Good organic selection throughout the store with reasonable prices. Above average vons and very convenient.

Continuously overcharging causing. us to go back and get refunds from people that can’t even do basic math… and then don’t even apologize. Von’s Just for U is good idea but poorly executed by Von’s Mission Oaks.

Avoid this place like the plague. The management is embarrassingly rude and inept. Seriously, go anywhere else.

This is in regards to the Redbox machine at this Vons location. I went to return the movie I rented from this location just the night before and the machine said it was full and could not take movies. I asked the man at the front lanes what to do he said to call the 800 number I did so and the customer service agent suggested I reutrn to a different location or wait till someone else rents??? Really who has time to do that, mind you I was on my lunch break so I did not have time to do either option. I would think since they were able to pull up all my personal payment information they can manually check the movie back in and I could leave it with a Vons team member… nope stuck with the fees of keeping the movie another night or making another trip to another redbox. Not renting from redbox ever again.

One star is too many for this place. I just received the worst customer experience of my life at this store. My cashier «Mike» loudly spoke to the customer in front of me about how the days were better when kids «got smacked around» and how all children these days are rude brats. …right in front of my 7 year old son. When I told him it was inappropriate he scoffed at me. When I asked to speak to a manager, guess what? They staff so poorly that he had a line of customers to ring up and wouldn’t speak to me! Mission Oaks deserves much much better than this. Please re staff this store so I can shop here again.

This place is so expensive more expensive than any other Vons. It is the only market in the Mission Oaks area. The food is outdated and the deli I would not trust. Years ago it was the best, but today it is worth traveling to Ralphs or Albertsons for fresh food.
In a E.R. it is ok but don’t plan on shopping for 3 days it will eat your checking account. also the fish always smells funny there yek!

Convenient location, usually well stocked. However it is hard to find workers to point you in the right direction most of the time. The pharmacy has filled my prescriptions quickly when needed but usually in a not too friendly manner.
