The tacos are absolutely delicious! They don’t skimp on the beef, cheese, lettuce etc. Beans and rice are great! They have a nice salsa bar with a good variety of salsas. The chips are fresh and hot. Nachos are yummy. The staff is nice. The place is clean. It is a bit pricey. 10 dollars for a taco, rice and beans. However, the taco is LARGE. They also have taco Tuesday with half price tacos! Yum yum i will be back!

Their taco Tuesday is unbeatable! Large, cheap, and tasty tacos. They also have exceptional refried beans. My favorite in town! Also, their burritos are also huge and very tasty. Guacamole is also always fresh and delicious. Overall, love this place!

I tried ordering dinner from here tonight, what a joke. I had my family over and we all wanted to pick up dinner. I called three times to order the food. Once I got a voice mail and the other two just rang and rang. When I got the voicemail it told me to go to their website, which doesn’t work. They were still open for an hour and a half when I called. We ended up picking up Ric’s and when I drove by there was no one in there and the employees were standing around. Really ?!

When Rudy’s first came to Camarillo I asked them if they used lard. I’m a vegetarian and I don’t want lard in my food. They told me that they didn’t. I have eaten there several times since, and I don’t know what prompted me to ask today, but I did. I was then told that they do, and that’s why their food is so yummy. Yes, it was yummy. I tried to order something without lard and got two different answers from two different people as to whether there was lard or not. I would love to have an answer from the home office regarding the lard situation. Meanwhile, I won’t take any chances, I just won’t go there.

One of the BEST Mexican food places in town, hands down! Everything so far has been amazing, we’ve tried a couple different things and when you order the same thing like I do, consistency is a must. This place definitely does not disappoint. Bring your appetite, the portions are huge. While it’s a bit pricey, it’s one of those places that is well worth the extra coin.

Best crispy tacos EVER, with an awesome selection of self-serve salsas/condiments to boot! One thing, though… don’t count on your phone call being answered on Taco Tuesday if you are trying to phone in an order. They get so busy that they simply don’t bother picking up the phone. They have admitted this to me outright, as it’s happened to me more than once! Super annoying. But again, amazing tacos. And for some reason, the Camarillo location seems to go much heavier on the cheese than the Carpinteria location. Bonus!

I would give The breakfast five stars. The atmosphere was a football game in the background. Would’ve been nicer to have music. There’s nobody here and the other restaurants have a line out the door. I don’t think people realize that they serve breakfast. They should because it’s really good and better then the places with a line out the door! If you’re in the mood for a Mexican breakfast. They do you have some traditional American breakfast items as well. We went for the Heuvos California. Really fresh and delicious. Check it out!

I COMEEVERYTUESDAY Taco Tuesday consist of me being to buy my mom dinner plus her Margarita within my budget. These tacos are large enough to get full with just one or two(but my brother gets three). Definitely recommend this place, I’m from the valley and I still recommend it. Thank you for everything Rudy’s!

Recently moved to Camarillo area and started trying restaurants. Rudy’s is excellent. The prices, portions, quality, and taste are superb. It’s tastefully decorated and CLEAN! Even the restrooms. The tacos are sooo fresh tasting and packed with good stuff :-). Also you have a choice of crispy or soft! Everything we’ve tried is excellent. Love it

Always consistently good. I always order the steak or chicken fajita bowl and substitute the cheese for queso fresco(mexican cheese).

The food is outstanding, but the way you order your food sucks. Its a nice sit-down restaurant but you have to order like your at taco bell then you sit And they bring you your food. That part is no good.

This place doesn’t disappoint. Not the best Mexican food but certainly made of high quality. The service is really good too. And they let you grab your own condiments which is a plus. The combo burritos are fully loaded, and the chicken are not dry(very important for me). And the alambre tacos(my first time trying) are amazing! Got the carnitas 2 taco plate. Its a little on the salty end but with a good pacifico, we are in business. Amen to pickled onions… a necessity to quality Mexican food.

Just a bit above«casual dining». You walk up to the order counter, place your order, receive a number and seat yourself. Have been here numerous times and parking is difficult during peak times(lunch or dinner), but it isn’t impossible, though you might have to park some distance from the restaurant. The awesome — Tres Amigos Burrito which I get wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla, and consists of steak, grilled chicken, & shrimp, beans(I requested black), rice(sans rice for me), avocado, cilantro & chipotle sauce. The could be better — Albondigas which is a chicken meatball soup, with carrots, potatoes, and celery. Taste was there, but the to-go option was extremely small for a $ 8 dish. Maybe get bigger to go soup containers? I’ll have to try this without ordering it to go to see if the portion is actually bigger.

I had no idea that Rudy’s would be so nice inside. They have a set up where you order first, then they serve to you afterwards. Or you sit at the bar where it’s full service. I of course, was at the bar. I started with an el Diablo margarita, it had great flavor, but for the super large glass it came in, it needed more alcohol. Looked to me like there was under an ounce of tequila. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The flavor was super good, though the temperature was luke warm. It needed to be hotter in temperature! So this totally made me realize that it’s pre made. And that’s ok, but make it hot, I want to see steam! Lastly, the woman’s bathroom was not kept up on. For a front of house that was so clean, the bathroom was not. There was towels all over the floor, no toilet liners, and other stuff going on that I won’t mention. Overall this place is ok, I’ll give it one more try.

Rudy’s was recommended by the guy at 7-eleven down the street. We ordered the #1 chorizo, egg, potatoes, & cheese but I added bacon :). It came out to $ 9.18. We only ordered one since a review said it was a large burrito and they were right!!! See pic! They also had a salsa bar which had good selections. The burrito was very good. It had a lot of filling and very flavorful. Chorizo juices were oozing but I didn’t mind. I’m a huge chorizo fan and made my hubby a fan with this burrito. It also came with a bag of chips which made me happy! Overall, good fast service and the cost was right for the quantity of food. It’s a small store in a shopping center near a busy café so it gets lost but it’s a nice spot to grab some good Mexican food on the go. It’s worth a try if your in the area and wanting something different than Taco Bell or Jack in the box.

Rudy’s is always a great place to satisfy my mood for Mexican food. Some say the prices are a bit high for a restaurant that you order from the counter. I say, pay out the counter or at the table, that doesn’t change the taste or ample portions of the fresh and delicious food served at your table. The chips are always fresh and crunchy and the salsa bar is great. Food presentation has always been good but more importantly the food always tastes fresh and delicious. Rudy’s may not be at the very top of my list of favorites, but it definitely is in the top ten in Camarillo for me and always satisfies IMO.
