Love this place for take out. Pretty much always order the beef chow mien, orange chicken, and egg flower soup. Delicious, local, and fresh — no MSG in any of their food which is also really great to know. Besides that, they’re super friendly and always nice to see when I stop by to pick up the food

They have the best lemon chicken and shredded pork I have ever had, among there other dishes that are amazing. I really love this place and have only been once and definately will be going back. Only downside is the hostess was really rude.

We went back after years of not going. This place is awesome. The food is as good as it was when I first went there, and the service has improved immensely. The owners are fantastic. Hospitable and always making sure you have what you need and that everything is great. Other workers are also extremely attentive. Best Chinese food in town.

Visited Hunan Garden for lunch last week. The service was outstanding and the food was the freshest Chinese food I’ve ever had. What a gem! Wish I lived in Camarillo.

Mongolian pork and shrimp chow mien. Do it, do it, do it. The woman that owns this family restaurant is very sweet and took excellent care of us. Small, quiet atmosphere, delicious food, open late on Sunday’s.

Been here twice with someone else and been here once love the place with the staff. You can always ask them if it is spicy and then they won’t make it spicy for you.

My husband and I love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is always served hot and tastes great. Our fav is the pork or chicken chow mein(not sure about the spelling) anyhow, we’ve been coming here for quite a while now. Love it!

Came here on Monday night because sesame garden is closed and found it to be a delightful alternative. I like the main dishes at sesame garden better. The flavor was a bit lacking for Szechuan style but I really liked their fried rice and chow mein is actually better than sesame garden.

Ordered the steam fish over spinach. Excellent taste! Stir Fry beef over grilled onions and mushrooms. Excellent as well! I highly recommend these two tasty dishes as they might not be in the menu. Really nice owner who greeted us and took order. Very clean and food was prepared pretty fast. Would I come again? Yes!

Went in for some wonton soup to warm up on this chilly day. I also ordered veggie egg rolls. Since I was pressed for time with a million things to do I opted to phone in my order for take out. The gentleman who answered was very pleasant. My order was ready when I got there and carefully packaged with all the fixings. The soup was piping hot and as much as I wanted to love it, just wasn’t the case. The wontons tasted raw. Not much flavor in the broth. Wasn’t the worse I’ve ever had, def not the best. The egg rolls however were delicious. Crispy, not overly greasy and full of flavor. I do think I’ll give this place another shot in the near future. Plenty on the menu to try.

I have eaten here many times. Sometimes this restaurant should get 4 stars, unfortunately sometimes it should only get 1. The food is very inconsistent. The menu is a typical Chinese menu, nothing inspired or different than any other strip mall Chinese restaurant. I recently ordered take-out San Shein Soup. I asked the gentleman that took my order, I believe he is the owner, what was in the soup. I was told Chicken, Fish and Shrimp, plus vegetables in a chicken broth. There was no chicken, however the broth was good. I have ordered the Ginger Fish on several occasions, the first time it was absolutely delicious, unfortunately the next time I ordered it was over cooked, very close to burnt. Since it was so good the first time, I ordered it on another occasion, that time it was soggy. I almost wish I had never ordered it, because I crave the dish they served me the first time and they can’t seem to duplicate it. When the owner is cooking the food is fabulous, when he is not, whoever they have in the kitchen does not cook as well as he does. I don’t understand the comments about the«rude» waitress. I have never had a bad experience with the staff. They have always been attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is clean and a quiet, pleasant place to dine. However, I mostly order take-out. I have heard from other people in the neighborhood it is a good and inexpensive place for lunch.

AMAZING! Chinese food. We had the Mongolian Beef and beef and broccoli. They use extremely fresh vegetables and beef. This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant.

In my opinion the service was 5 star worthy!!! We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and seated right away. I appreciated that the owners checked up on us often and were very friendly. Reasoning for the lower rating is that I felt their menu was misleading and the one item we did purchase was just«okay». Walked in after seeing online that they had spicy dumplings, my man and I had been craving spicy dumplings since our trip to LA so we came out to Hunan specifically for the dish, sure enough when we tried ordering it the owner mentioned that it was not available for dinner or that day of the week, etc, something along those lines, from their online menu it did not appear to us that they only serviced certain items on certain days so we were beyond bummed. Ordered their war won ton soup, it was okay… wontons in the soup were tasty but overall the broth was just okay, spicier then I would have preferred and more ginger then my tastebuds would prefer. I’d be willing to give this place another shot but make sure that you are aware not all«specials» are served at all hours etc.

I had to write an update — I read the one stars and started to laugh. Most of them are ads for other restaurants or just mean people. Then I realized their reviews are up and readable. We had diner their last night. A fried tofu hot pot with ginger and bamboo shoots, and a beef with peppers dish over bean sprouts with black mushrooms. They also serve a soup with fish and fresh vegetables that is AMAZING. All the vegies are fresh and the food is excellent. NEVER had a bad meal, and they always serve tea.(What kind of idiot would say they don’t serve tea??)

This place has good food when you get what you order, but that’s the frustrating thing because they always mess up. Last time I ordered egg fried rice, they brought out vegetable fried rice and told me I should take it because I was getting a deal since its cost more to order that.(I did and it was horrible) This time I ordered pork chow mien right off a piece of paper not any want for rice not any appetite for rice not even a thought of rice and when I go to pick it up its pork fried rice, but right away it’s not their fault and I have to pay for what I didn’t order and if I want chow mien I now have to buy that too. You guys suck and now here’s your fortune: you will lose customer forever today:
