Epicurean Olive Oils

I have purchased oils from this store in the past.
The selection is great and the prices are reasonable.
However, last week I wanted to sample an item.
And the samples on the tray were already gone.
The gentleman working there did not want to open a new jar for me to sample.
Not sure why? There were plenty of jars sitting on the counter.
It’s unfortunate… because I probably would have bought 2 jars for Christmas gifts.

I finally made it into this store. Unilocal helped with that. I’m sure glad I did visit I was impressed with the selection of the infused oils and balsamic vinegars. The personal service I received was appreciated. Paul was great and offered samples. He did some mixing and they were delicious. I bought the Tuscan herbed Evoo and stuffed olives. I am looking forward to trying more of the oils and vinegars. These are great for gift giving too. House warming, hostess gift, thank you gift or birthday and Christmas for someone who loves to cook.
Some of the infused oils include lemon, wild mushroom & sage, garlic, basil and cilantro & roasted onion. Some of the Gourmet oils are roasted almond oil, white truffle and Japanese roasted sesame oil. Some of the Balsamic vinegars are champagne dark, blackberry ginger, cinnamon pear, apricot and peach. You can choose from 3 different size bottles and the price range is approximately $ 12-​$ 28

OK So I’m from NY. What am I doing in a gourmet olive oil and vinegar store in Camarillo California? Well someone in the hotel we were staying in told us about it so what the hey. They ship anyway. Nice location right off the 101. Easy on and off the Freeway.
The place is nicely decorated with wood flooring and open space. Gourmet containers line the store with Olive Oil and specialty vinegars. The staff was really knowledgeable. I thought I knew a lot well I didn’t. We started tasting and wow. Then we started mixing different oils with vinegars and holy cow was it good.
We bought three bottles each of different vinegars and oils to start. We can’t wait to get home to NY and try cooking with them.
This was the last thing in the world we thought we would do on a drive up to SF along the coast but boy are we glad we did.

PS we bought some pickled green beans that for us is hard to find in NY and something called «Frog Balls». mmmmmm? Well it turns out they are pickled kinda spicy Brussel Sprouts. I hate Brussell Sprouts but I loved these!

Exceptional customer service great variety the owner is very knowledgeable and informative. I love how I was able to taste everything prior to purchase.

This is a little hidden gem in Camarillo. Usually I don’t walk over to the right side of the strip mall because I’m generally focused on bread basket, but this is a great surprise! I bought the living social voucher and am so glad I did. The staff (possibly the owner I didn’t ask) was so helpful and nice, he gave me great pairing ideas and feed back on flavors. I went in to purchase a gift for a friend and obtain a few items for myself. I ended up purchasing a delicious cranberry balsamic, a traditional balsamic and the organic Tuscan herb infused olive oil. The prices are reasonable and the parking is abundant. Definitely check out if your looking for high quality oils and vinegars at a good price. They also have an assortment of olives, mustard and salts.

Wonderful selection of oils and vinegar. Owner is very knowledgable and helpful with tastings. Beautiful store. Reasonably priced compared to other local stores. We walked away with the Tuscan oil, 18 year aged vinegar and the cinnamon pear vinegar.

I purchased some olive oil and vinegar sets for some family for Christmas and they were very happy. The store is nice and I love that it’s locally owned and operated. My only complaint is that it’s a little overpriced and this may seem petty but the owners are obviously heavy smokers. The first think I noticed when I walked in the door was the smell of cigarette smoke. Also, when the very nice and knowledgeable gentleman gave me samples, etc. I could barely taste anything because of his strong cigarette smell. But I will be back despite that…

Just started buying oils and balsamic for clients of mine at Showcase Kitchens and Baths. Everything we’ve tried and given out so far has been amazing and we’re happy to have a place like this in Camarillo.

Great selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars that you can sample before purchasing. I love the pomegranate balsamic on my salads. Owners are very knowledgeable. I even ordered a gift basket for a friend.

Great place I enjoyed the way you can taste all the oils before selecting. I bought the 18 year old vinegar it is great.

We bought a LivingSocial coupon and dropped by today to give it a try.
They have a good variety of olive oils and vinegars (only balsamic).
The prices are really good compared to other similar stores in the area (i.e. Vom Fass or Olive in Vta).
We really enjoyed the traditional balsamic vinegar, it had a great smell, taste and viscosity. Perfect on salads, pizza, bruschette, icecream or fresh fruit.
The oils were not bad, for the kind though, a little over-​priced.
I definetly suggest you Unilocalers to take a look.
The owner was really nice and it’s kind of hard to see when you drive on Daily but it’s right there, in the strip-​mall on your left-​hand side.
