Great beer and the food was better than expected. Actually really liked it. Kids liked it too which is a nice change from fast food. Definitely will be back again and again.

Lunch there today with my wife. A chicken salad with walnuts among other things arrived with no chicken and no walnuts. Nachos with Pico de gallo and shredded pork arrived with a teaspoon of shredded pork and a few diced tomatoes and canned jalapeños. The cheese and other ingredients were all served in a bowl. Cheese appeared to be Velveeta. The beer was good.

This is a great summer place for lunch, happy hour, or dinner! My family loves the beer selection and knowledgeable staff as well as the food. During the winter and spring, inside seating is limited but still family friendly.

Started with a yummy candied bacon roll! That’s a sure must have! Had my first try on beer! I usually just taste from my friends. But this time the waitress noticed my reaction and got me the right flavored beer — pacific peach! we were super hungry after our zip — lining experience. Hopped into this place, had 2 pizza s too. They were just perfect as well.

Great spot on Camano to grab a beer with your friends or get growlers to go. Do not go here expecting to find amazing food. This is a tap house and the food is what it is. Must go to spot if you are looking for a cool location to grab a few beers

My family and I went camping at Camano Island State Park, and on the way, we decided to stop for lunch at The Collective. We sat outside on a gorgeous summer day, and the spacious picnic tables are perfect for families. The bees were a bit vicious and aggressive, but that really is a risk you take eating al fresco at any restaurant. There are so many beers on tap, they give you a sheet and you order by number. What’s nice is that they provide a ton of information about each beer and group them by type of beer. I could see this being a fun place to hang out in the evenings, especially to try out different beers from all over the world and locally. For starters, we ordered the candied bacon and warm pretzel. The candied bacon was rolled up and presented nicely, but it was chewy and not at all crispy. Unfortunately, and I can’t believe this is true, but most of the bacon went uneaten(unheard of for my family of bacon-lovers). The pretzel, on the other hand, was a HUGE hit, especially that awesome queso dipping sauce. It was so good, we ordered a second one while we ate our meal. My husband ordered the Cuban, which unfortunately, was not to his liking. Although the structure of the sandwich was ok(not really authentic, though), the pork had a very strong clove flavor, which overwhelmed everything else. He ended up sharing my turkey and havarti on ciabatta, which was huge and delicious. The kids got mac ‘n cheese and a quesadilla, which were pretty good — my toddler especially loved the hummus that came with my sandwich. The staff was friendly, and they had a nice big cooler of ice water outside so we could help ourselves to refills. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual meal in the area.

Excellent rotating selection of 40 craft beers. Order a flight and receive 5 smaller servings of your choice. Bartender has extensive knowledge of the nuances of each beer and if you are not sure what you want he’ll ask a couple questions and provide you samples until you find what works for you. Unlike some other reviews the service I experience at The Collective has always been top notch. Always greeted when I walk in and can count on being served by wait staff or bartender right away. I’ve had the mac n cheese, cuban and nuun with spread. Place is family friendly and provides outdoor seating. There is a section for families and a section for adults only. Every Monday there is a local Farmers Market outside and I enjoy the eclectic Island mix of vendors late afternoon. There is always music playing in the background at the bar. It’s not too loud and is a varied mix of rock and blues. There are several big flat screens — I don’t like to hear tv when I’m out so I appreciate the music and having the screens to watch a game if I’m in the mood. Tip: Be sure to check out Happy Hour. Hours are between 4 – 6 and I think 8 to close. They often have a couple beers on the«Blow the Keg» special for $ 2 and the other beers are $ 1 off. The happy hour food is over the top — $ 2 chicken quesadilla’s with an incredible dipping sauce. Stopping in for an afternoon treat during happy hour with cost you less than $ 10 including tip for a couple of pints and a quesadilla. This is the best deal on the island. Highly recommend to visitors to Camano. A couple miles after driving on the island you will see a visitor center on the right followed by a bunch of buildings(Camano Island Coffee Roasters, Library, bank, etc.) — just park where the buildings are after the visitor center and park. From there you are a a minute walk away from craft beer heaven and excellent launching or ending point from your beach, state parks, crabbing, zipping, art tour Camano adventure.

Get your shit together!!! 10 minutes to be greeted, another 5 to get a beer(after ordering), after 25 minutes waiting for chips and queso(that I NEVER got) had to go find my server to pay. Hey! Even though this is «sleepy» Camano Island, you better find some wait staff that is competent! Oh yah, 25 people in your place and 4 servers on.

The good: 1. What a great hidden gem in the quaint town of Camano Island. 2. Great beer selection– local and beyond. The bartender really knows his stuff and can make helpful recommendations. 3. The food– the pesto cheese bread is heavy, but tasty and the BLT with fresh from the neighboring farm. 4. mmmm delicious Bacon! The bad: 1. The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path– but worth a stop if you’re checking out the island. It’s tucked away by the farmer’s market so might be worth stopping and asking a local if you can’t find the small sign. The verdict: Beer and BLTs — what’s not to like?

Good gravy. I’m not one to complain much and I like to give newer places a break but this was not a good experience at any rate. Our group stopped here for lunch while on the island. The food took a very very long time to arrive. The guy helping us seemed to be trying but the service was just so slow. We were a group of 7 and 5 of us did not enjoy our meals. Honestly, I don’t understand how a BLT can be so bad. The sourdough bread was hard but in a way that seemed like it was stale, not over-toasted. It was like cafeteria food. The Cuban sandwich was laughably bad. Greasy, dry, and bad flavor all at the same time if that’s even possible. The nacho dip was cool by the time my friend got the order. Sorry to do this but this was not a good experience at all. Good tap selection; I’ll give them that.
