Carrie Smith is as authentic an American as you will find. She runs the house she grew up in as a B&B that she has decorated with a sure hand and unique taste. A horsewoman herself, Carrie’s beautiful home will make you think you’re spending the night in a ranchhouse in Wyoming. Carrie’s property is also horse-friendly, so if you are travelling with your animals Carrie can accomodate you all. The paddock and fields surrounding the house are spectacular. It’s hard to believe that you’re right off the highway in a town. In any event, the beds are comfortable, the surroundings beautiful and the house is immaculate.(Smoking is allowed, but I am not a smoker and couldn’t dectect any odor of smoke in the house). Breakfast was delicious, homemade, fresh and filling. If you find yourself in Western Kentucky or visiting the Quilt Museum in Paducah, this is a wonderful place to stay in comfort and beauty.
