Five minutes into hillsides outside of Calistoga is a place for seclusion, for a bottle of wine on the deck (or in the hot tub), even to play cards and talk to friends. The sunset is amazing, the accommodations spacious enough for four (maybe even six?). The property is a short drive to any of the major wineries in northern Napa and quite close to the great Zinfandel zone of Dry Creek in Sonoma or the superior Pinot spots in Russian River. In this respect its ideal for wine collectors who want to avoid Napa traffic. Still, I return to the sunsets on the deck – this is the best pairing for a great bottle or great friendship. I am through dealing with corporate concierge experiences and maid service noise in the mornings. This is a good spot. I will be back!

We stayed at Hacienda for 3 nights in January. Beautiful property and the views are spectacular. Amazing deck over looking a valley with tons of greenery. Nice whirlpool on the deck which is nice at night. Inside the house you first notice all the artwork, pictures, and authentic collectibles. Little overwhelming on the eyes but amazing once you take a closer look. Beautiful kitchen with all the amenities you need. Plenty of kitchenware to cook any meal. Big living area with a gas fireplace and a flat screen TV. Plenty of sitting area to relax at the end of a long day. Family size dining table that will sit 6 comfortably. Lovely, spacious bathroom
Pro: very private, beautiful views, amazing artistry throughout the property, big kitchen and living area. Large master bedroom (no bath), fireplace, whirlpool, huge deck
Cons: biggest con so pay attention. The 2^nd bedroom although attached to the house you have to walk outside to get to it. Same goes for 2^nd bathroom. Extremely creepy to think if you get up in the middle of the night you have to walk outside to get to the bathroom. Our guests elected to sleep on the futon in the main living room. If the guests opted to stay in that 2^nd bedroom you wouldn’t be able to lock the main house because you would be locking out your guests. I found this huge detail left out of the house description and was the only disappointment of the house. Families be ware. Just think if that was the room you opted to put your young children in for the night.
All in all very satisfied with hacienda and would highly recommend it as long as your understand that 2^nd bed room/​bath situation. We felt bad for our guest that they would not comfortable enough to stay in the 2^nd bedroom.

Leigh did a great job with our event. We purchased the Casabela package for 13 people, which consisted of the minister, light buffet, drinks and photography for 3 hours. The house was perfect for our intimate affair. Leigh was easy to work with and attentive. We met with Rev. Ellsworth prior to the wedding, it was a very nice visit and he performed a beautiful ceremony. If an intimate wedding is what you are looking for, this is the place to go; great location, beautiful house and an owner who cares about your event.

The owner ruined the wedding! She was rude, invasive, disorganized and treated wedding guests as they were intruding!
This is what the other guests and I observed at the wedding on September 17, 2011.
First she was dressed in an old T-​shirt, cropped capris & hiking sandals. Second she started SCREAMING at guests to «lineup» for the ceremony. This behavior continued for 3 hours. Oh and she is the photographer?! She was so distracting during the ceremony. Third she was so unaccommodating that they had to forgo the meal and cake!
I overheard her say to the Bride, «your guests need to leave, your time is up»! Mind you the bride and groom rented the house for the weekend!
I am sad to share, the photos were also disappointing. Overexposed, missed moments and mostly unuseable.
Perhaps if she was less focused on what the guests were doing and more focused on providing the service paid for, the owner would not be the most memorable part of the day.
A simple solution would be to either higher help for events. Or limit the amount of guests to the amount of parking spaces. And that is 2.

My husband and I wanted to have a small wedding at a nice cozy place and we found the casabella package Tuscan style online. We compared it to many other elopment packages and we found this one we like the best. We had a great wedding at the place. It looks the same as the pics show, very cozy and romantic, great view in the mountains. The owner is helpful organizing everything. It’s a small wedding and the time was a little tight but everything went smoothly and my husband and I couldn’t be happier with our wedding. We loved the Reverend Blane. We had a good talk with him before the ceremony. He is very fun and kind to work with. He took a lot of notes about us and gave us a very nice speech on our wedding!
The mini buffet is nice, more than enough for all our guests. We had a lot of beautiful pics too.
Overall we are satified with the place, the price of the package and the service the owner provided. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to have an elopment wedding.

Stayed three nights at the property during a visit to Napa Valley wine country with my wife and our friends. Enjoyed watching sunsets from the deck while sampling wine purchased that day. Kitchen space, appliances and gadgets made it simple to prepare a couple of dinners at the house. Comfortable place for two couples to spend a few days when visiting Calistoga.

I recently had the chance to stay at the Hacienda… what a wonderful experience. The Owner cares deeply about her unique paradise, as it has the most serene and incredible view. The Place is very private with the Hot Tub… AHHHH so relaxing to watch the stars at night! I highly recommend this gem to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in the Napa Valley. The kitchen is wonderful with Mexican architecture details and the beds comfortable. Very happy to have found this place and will return for sure next year. Don’t hesitate… book it, you won’t be sorry!

Great View, crazy lady. She is creepy and lives right behind the place which allows for her to walk down like she did on a Saturday morning. She at least yelled very loudly 5 seconds prior. She has more rules then an authoritative parent. If you use this place, but make it a last resort.
