I have a BMW, Audi and Porsche — yup, foreign cars. However, these cool little mechanical contraptions aren’t «foreign» to Will and his crew at PMR. They have been keeping my cars on the road for — geese Louise — about ten years and I have never had anything but a fantastic experience each time. My Porsche gets driven on the race track and it’s been safe and reliable in that hostile environment. Recently I brought my aging BMW in to have them check out a strange noise coming from the passenger side — diagnosed as two bad wheel bearings — front and rear. Despite the fact that I didn’t have an appointment, they said that the problem as a safety issue and urged me to leave the car. Of course I did and then I learned that the front brakes were marginal as well. Yup, another safety issue caught before It became dangerous. Fixed quickly and at a surprisingly low price. Then I brought my Audi in for normal«timing belt service» — something you need to do if your car has rubber timing belts(read your owner’s manual). This they fixed and caught another potential«engine killing» issue — a worn cam timing part that they said was a unique issue that could cause the car’s motor to self-destruct. Also fixed and the car has been perfect ever since. Honest, fair priced and friendly. That’s how I look at the people at PMR. I even recommended them to a friend of a friend who has a Porsche 993 that was not being serviced well locally(He in Englewood Cliffs and PMR in Califon). They have gotten his car working so well that this friend of a friend is now a friend! And he has even taken me to dinner as a thank you(not at McDonalds either ;-). Smart people working on complex machinery — you need that and get that at PMR. Porsche, BMW, VW, Audi owners — you should consider bringing your cars to Will and his team of pros. Yeah, they re that good.
