We are so sorry to have used them. Bought a side of grass fed beef — a SIDE!!! I got to choose between certain cuts and gave them my choices. We got 4 teeny NY’s and 3 teeny ribeyes and the saddest tenderloin ever. Even for a small steer, we should have gotten many more steaks than this. Perhaps smaller cuts, but a good number no matter the steer. I’ve bought whole ribeyes before and made 14 steaks, so there is an issue. The stewmeat had not been stripped of the silver skin and so is quite tough. The hamburger is good, but I attribute that to the quality of the steer and not the butchering, that is just grinding. I think we were shorted some of our steer, its simply impossible to think otherwise. The rest was just lazy. I have a freezer full of way too much stew meat for what we should have gotten that will now have to be cooked for 5 hours to soften the silver/grisle. Someone else is eating MY steaks — enjoy!

This review is not for the chlorophyll lovers. This PLACE is definitely not for those who don’t think animals should be consumed by humans. If you are a steak lover though, this place provides some of the best cuts you will find near Atlanta! It’s an experience to check out a real butcher shop where you can actually see the to-be-butchered animals munching and hanging around. The place is quite a trip if you live ITP. There are probably closer places for premium quality meat in large quantity and for a low price, but I highly recommend Sheriff’s if you have any business anywhere near Calhoun. They have a huge variety of animals in stock and all edible parts. The prices are super reasonable(incredibly cheap compared to your local grocery stores and restaurants) and their meats are just so juicy and fresh and top quality. They do meat processing for hunted stuff for really low price in my opinion. I think they charge $ 55 to process a whole deer the way you want them to. The people who work there may not exactly seem like people’s people, but they are knowledgeable and will answer any questions you might have. As I said, it’s a trip, and you kind of have to be a meat lover… but man, the best ribeye I’ve grilled at home!
