5 stars for food, sausage calzone is perfect. 1 star for service. I have visited this location twice and both times host was simply not friendly, he should defiantly hire someone for the counter and lead from the kitchen. Not a people person at all. Food is almost worth it but don’t think ill return a third time.

Cheap greasy food if you’re into that. Pizza was OK, but nothing special. More like a fast food joint than a sit down restaurant.

Nothing about this experience was pleasant or memorable. Wait. One thing was — the owner never got off the phone from the moment I walked in till the time I left. I’m not kidding. It was all Greek to me, no really, all he spoke was Greek on the phone — and loudly at that. I ordered an eggplant parmesan sub, which came with fries and a pickle for $ 8. It wasn’t very good. It was nuked in the microwave. How did I know? The Italian bread roll it was in was soggy and didn’t hold all of the soggy eggplant and cheap cheese in it. Save yourself the trouble and find some other place. Unfortunately in Calhoun, it just means a fast food joint.

The owners of this Southern chain of Italian restaurants have always been amiable to my family, so I cannot rate them particularly low in that respect. This particularly location in Calhoun is friendly, spacious, and easy to access. The service is also rather fast, so there is no complaint there. My major criticism is of the greasiness of all of the food which I have tried. I’m not sure if it is part of the chain«recipe,» but even my grilled items taste deep fried, and my deep fried items taste downright like-a-heart-attack. I do think this chain would do much better going back to its non-american roots, serving sauteed vegetables or even baked bread with dishes rather than french fries… The food is tasty, but I don’t think it’s great Italian or Greek-style cuisine.
