We have had great experiences in the past, however, today when the apparent owner was serving us we received less than mediocre service. We ordered two phở’s…which were of considerable difference in portion. While my order was full my wife’s broth barely filled half the bowl, and our quest for fair and equal treatment only deteriorated from there. Overall, we felt ignored and marginalized as customers in a food and service establishment. I hope the culture of this restaurant changes drastically. Please come here if you have a craving for terrible service by the owner and have no desire for safe parking, it’s a joke.

This is my first time here. Hands down. The best Phở in the Valley. The broth is solid and the meats are cooked well. I know that it’s not gonna be as authentic as actual Vietnamese Phở in Vietnam or as Phở shop in SD, but it is still pretty legit. You can taste herbs in the broth. If you like spicy food, I recommend the fish sauce chicken wings. Love it. Will totally come back for it. If they ask what kind of cooking style you want, choose the one that they dip the sauce before frying it. You can taste sauce in the bones! Yum! The service is great. They got my order wrong and they fixed it right away(even though I said«Don’t worry about it»). They have no alcohol license, but you can BYOB. One constructive criticism: the broth for well-done beef is kind of greasy. If you can fix it, that would be terrific.

I wish there were Asian super markets in imperial county so I can make my own! This phở didn’t taste anything like authentic phở trust me I’m Asian and I’m very familiar with a lot of our cultural food. The broth was flavorless, I was super disappointed. We sat there and ate our food and never once did We get a refill for our waters. I also ordered some spring rolls to go and as I got home decided I wanted to eat them. Went to open it and My spring rolls weren’t even wrapped they were Deformed and torn up I could not eat them. So sad we just moved here not to long ago and it’s a huge difference from every other phở shops we’ve been to in San Diego. Oh how I miss the quality of Asian food!

If I could rate it less than one star I would! I am so disappointed with this place! Since the change of management the service went down! I never got my drink, my Phở was cold, and spring rolls seemed like they had been sitting there for days! I was a big fan of this place but the customer service is also very bad! Come back Tam!!!

I have gone from the start and at first I loved it but I went recently and I did not like it. The quality of the food does not seem to be what it once was. It seems like they’re trying to save some money by changing the ingredients of the noodles and the sandwich does NOT taste like it used to either. Unless they go back to the way they were when it started, I will no longer be a customer… and it’s too bad because I really enjoyed the place.

My family and I really liked their beef phở. It’s nice to see more options in Calexico.

My wife and I enjoyed eating here very much. We were constantly comparing everything we ate to other Phở restaurants from San Diego. We were pleasantly surprised when we came to the conclusion that all the food stood up, if not better, than San Diego restaurants. We ate the Spring Rolls, Boba Thai Tea, and Phở. Everything tasted great and the portions were satisfying. Excellent service and atmosphere as well.

i had banh mi… it was really good… needed extra meat and veggies… especially for 4.50… but i’ve seen other pix and they look like they have a lot of goodies in them… so i think maybe it was because i ordered it to go… i enjoyed it… very sweet spicy! YUM… they have a lil entertainment area… it’s a cute place… i will go again… i still need to try the phở… but so far… we will definitely indulge in bahn mi every once a while ^_^(p.s… the owners are pretty nice)… wish they carried Taro boba milk tea jaja… i will eventually try their boba thai tea as an alternative tho… good luck on your business… i like having more diversity in the valley(especially calexico!)

There’s some good choices of sandwiches(grilled chicken, steak, pork – the classic bahn mi) and soups. I’ve only tried the grilled pork sandwich which was priced right under $ 5. A little pricey for just the one sandwich with not too much filling. It was really tasty so I’ll need to continue giving this place another try! Also, if you can call ahead to place an order instead of waiting inside, do that. It took nearly 10 minutes for me to get my sandwich in an empty restaurant.

Okay food not great waiter was very nice made you felt welcomed but forgot half of our order took another 20 minutes until I noticed he wasn’t coming back with our kids plates. After we paid I was chocked on how much it was. too pricy for that area.

Nice to have a legit Vietnamese restaurant in the Valley. I ordered P2 phở bo, broth wasn’t salty and just enough meat. I would’ve liked a little more lettuce to wrap my Vietnamese rolls so that more sauce would stick! Thai tea was nicely made, not from a can. Boba wasn’t hard, nice and chewy! It was a pretty strong brew… What I would like to see is fried tofu on the menu with some peanut sauce! Maybe next time we could special order some 7 course beef …

If you want delicious food and distinguished service then go to this place. I am pleased with their caring service and home-made food with an appealing taste to your taste buds. They place special attention to detail while going the«extra mile» just to make your experience a memorable one. Their food is soooo delicious that it will leave you wanting to return for more shortly after.

Great stuff. Finally a phở place in the valley. I had tears in my eyes. The owner is extra friendly and opened to suggestions… basilllll…explained that there no local supplier which is totally understandable. Havent tried the sandwishes yet. Looking forward to that. Ps. phở needed sliced onions. Hopefully their here to stay :)

I admit I am a phở snob, I have tried phở all over California and I was excited to try this place so close to home. But as much as I hate to give a low rating I have to say the phở here was below average as was the atmosphere.

Finally authentic phở in the valley! The phở was really good & the staff was nice. I am especially impressed by the owner’s & staff’s honesty. I accidentally left my wallet there overnight & it was given back to me intact the following day. I will definitely be back!

The phở is really good here. And the owner is very nice too. I don’t need to drive 2 hours to eat my favorite vietnamese phở anymore. You guys really need to try it.

Just got back from Vietnamese Restaurant and so here is my review: THEREISAUTHENTICPHOINCALEXICO! Personally from the outside i had my doubts, but once inside i can see the potential. It is quaint and nicely decorated, no frills and roomie. The first thing i did was ask for the owner who is Vietnamese. Nora ordered a Thai Tea with bobba and she was pleasantly surprised. She really liked it and said it was as good as the one she orders in San Diego. Next was an order of spring rolls with peanut sauce and egg rolls. They were freahly made and appeared to have a HOMEMADE look to it. Both tasted very good. We then ordered the phở with flat steak for me and chicken phở for nora. It was very good. Now granted that my taste may be different than others but overall we both gave it 2 thumbs up. This restaurant has alot of this going for it including a small menu selection and a niche different than the chinese restaurants around here. The bad part is that people are not familiar with vietnamese food and will judge it as chinese food, which is like comparing mexican food with cuban food, totally different. Now it is a little pricey, we paid 35 bucks for everything but its worth the price for authentic vietnamese food.

Love this place!!! I’ve been waiting for a local place to sell authentic phở! No more driving two hours to get it! This place just opened so they are still getting acquainted however owners and staff are super friendly! I really hope this place makes it cause I’ll miss their food if they close! We’ve tried their egg rolls, bobba chai tea, and their beef and chicken phở! All delicious!
