One star because it’s closed. Gone. Kaput. No sign in the window, no reason why. This town can’t seem to support businesses(except for nail salons, of course).

Bagel Loft is a sad review for me to write. I’m not quite sure what caused the decline of this place over the last couple of years since the food is quite good and so are bagels. I used to really love the egg salad there but then it just became sour to taste and the way the display was set up it looked as if it was there for days. Quite unfortunate since the woman who operates it is very nice and has a very sweet daughter that sometimes sings aloud while wearing headphones. At the end of the day, it’s hard to go to a place that looks like a bodega in the Bronx that hasn’t gotten a shipment of goods in a few cycles. Wish this place the best.

I came here earlier this morning the morning after Hurricane Sandy. They were open and working hard. They were cranking out bagels and had fresh pots of coffee every few minutes. There was only one other business open on Bloomfield Ave. I applaud the owners and staff of this neighborhood business for coming in and taking care of everyone.

Went here out of desperation. I will not return. Got pastrami on a bagel. Bagel was tasteless, pastrami was butchered. I will not be returning.
