I I think we’ve all been to restaurants whether it’s your first time your second maybe a couple years down the road since you been there there’s always that opposition of possibly having a bad experience Everyone should understand that the restaurant business is so tough and your experience there has many different pieces of making your experience a pleasant one. It could be the regular cook is gone or a new waiter or somebody getting trained in because of the turnover is so big in the restaurant business. so I always like to give, I don’t know, three or four chances to the restaurant before I write any kind of review. I also first get online and read what other people have said or experienced before inking my review that I take very serious because we own a business that reviews other businesses and also do reputation management as well. With that being said I have chosen to go outside my normal algorithm as we stoped in to have a late lunch at the Acapulco we met Maria who told us she had been working there since 1995 I was very impressed with the whole experience as Maria brought us hot fresh chips and salsa 3 times and I had a lunch special burrito Bueno with shredded chicken it was stuffed full of chicken and my wife had a chicken dish as well that was terrific. When we were getting ready to leave Maria told us she was cooking and waitressing today so all I can say is if Maria is cooking for you it will be the best she really understands the business and how important consistency really is with food. Since Acapulco moved up the street from their old spot, everything went to hell. Now it has turned into the standard Idaho Mexican food… over salted, no flavor, and no decent options. A part of my soul died in 2012 when they moved.

The service was great! Only because there was two other customers in the restaurant besides me. I ordered to-go. My fish tacos were discusting a huge chunk of processed fried(but not crispy) fish. The«coslaw» fire the fish tacos was shredded cabbage light coated in mayo, s&p. VERYVERY bland. I ate it, but I will NOT be back.

Food is average to below average and service is abysmal. Pass on this place. They are STINGY about chips too. What kind of Mexican restaurant wouldn’t want you to fill up on chips?

I hope Unilocal updates the address that I sent them. This place is down the street a block or two from the original location. Food is good and the service is great, but it serves the same style of food you’d find at a lot of different places. Won’t stop me from eating here again should I be in the area though.
