After nay-saying the heat at Paramount Ranch we took a scenic drive through Mullholland Hwy intending to head home. Of course I almost wrecked my car from the shrieking mom was making as she spotted a momma and baby deer. This led us to pull over immediately to try to see some wildlife up close. As Bambi scurried off we noticed we were at the Grasslands Trailhead and thought«why not?» It’s a very easy, flat trail that leads you through grasslands(hence the name I guess) and from the looks of the ground of the trail it looks as if its a good trail for horse riding as well, not sure where they allow it though. This was very nice, although it wasn’t shady it had a wonderful constant breeze blowing so you didn’t feel the sun as heavily. So we accidentally happened upon this one but there are several other trails to choose from as well including one called Talepop and one called Phantom which seem a bit longer. We didn’t get through the whole hike so I don’t know what the rest looks like, I will have to get back and check it out. Nice and easy for when you just want to be outside and away from city life.
