Stewart’s Shops

Stewart’s is a fairly big convenience store chain mainly serving the Upstate New York area. The thing I like most about Stewart’s is their commitment to the communities they serve. This local Stewart’s shop always has specials depending on events taking place in town. The clerks are all very nice and friendly, The stores carry a large array of grocery items, plus their own brand of milk products and ice cream (New York State’s biggest industry — for those who may not be aware of it — is not tourism, but actually dairy farming, producing 73% of the nations yogurt, among other items). Getting back to Stewart’s, though, they are a very community-​oriented company and they really try to please their customers. This location is right off the main highway, and offers gasoline, too, so it gets pretty busy here on the weekends with folks stopping in for a quick bite with their fill-​ups. They serve grab-​n-​go breakfast items, sandwiches, soft-​serve and hard-​packed ice cream in many, many flavors, coffees, snacks, candy, smokes and lottery tickets. Considering their proximity to the road, they very thoughtfully also offer a small section of emergency automotive supplies for motorists. Although they do not stay open all night, they are a good, reliable staple, and a welcome sight for travelers and locals alike in these vacation regions of New York who need gas and food along their way.

I make it a habit to stop in here when I go up to the cabin to get gas and always get my lottery tickets here and scratch offs. It always seems that the big winners are from a small town.
I never wait for gas but you do have to watch to make sure you get all the lottery tickets (count them) and your change.
All in all a good place for essentials and gas. I would recommend it.
