The staff is really nice. Seems like they try their best to make the guest’s visit seem less. They have breakfast 6am-9am waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, cold cereal, bagels, Danishes, fruit, coffee and juice. Room was very clean.

THEWORSTHOTELEVER! I decided to stay at the Comfort Inn in Cahokia, IL because it was close to St. Louis for an affordable rate. Upon arrival, we noticed that the breakfast cereal bar’s containers were wide open for bugs to enter and it remained that way until the next morning. My sister was given her room key(#128) only to find that another guest was already occupying her room. Can you imagine someone just walking into your hotel room while you’re in the bed sleep? The desk attendant then gave her a key to a vacant room(#129). The carpet had a huge purple stain & the furniture was extremely dingy and spotted. The hotel couldn’t honor her request of another room as the hotel was supposedly booked to capacity. My hotel room(#201) was a complete nightmare! Let me go down the laundry list(pun intended): Dirty sheets, dirty furniture, broken closet door, dirty ironing board, the room smelled like cigarettes(though it’s a non-smoking hotel), there was a thick coating of dust on the night stands, dirt marks splattered on different areas of the room, hair and dirt in the tub, dirt ring in the toilet, after a few hours the toilet stopped working, and to top it all off, the door to the room DIDNOTLOCK. Upon entering the room, I notified the desk attendant of the sheets and the blanket of dust in which she promptly sent someone to correct the ordeal. All of the other mishaps where discovered after several hours had passed. We found that the toilet wasn’t working around 8PM. I notified the desk attendant and she stated that she was the only employee present in the hotel and asked me to come to the front desk to get a plunger. I was totally appalled that a hotel would allow for their guest to do that. Furthermore, a plunger wouldn’t have helped as there wasn’t enough water in the toilet to plunge. Mind you, we had left the hotel room for a few hours and returned to it out of order. No one had used it at all. At this point, I just wanted to leave. I was not comfortable in my room and my sister didn’t even want to eat dinner in her room. I would’ve left the hotel at that point, but my sister was at a concert in which I had to pick her up from and it didn’t end until 11PM. While my sister was at the concert, I did request for my second night stay to be cancelled. We returned to the room around 11:45PM. It was my idea to check the locks of the hotel room door as I found it odd that the key card didn’t click or buzz when using it to enter the room. Lo and behold, we find that the room had been unsecure the entire time! Anyone could’ve entered the room at any given time. At this point I was angry! However, I didn’t take that anger out on the desk attendants. It takes a lot to get me angry. I had been patient long enough and these accommodations were becoming ludicrous. I couldn’t take my anger out on the desk attendants as these problems were a direct reflection of management. I feel sorry for the desk attendants/employees as they are the ones that are hearing the complaints and they have no control over the operations of the hotel. About this time, there were two desk attendants: the one that checked us in and one to relieve her of her duties. The housekeeper/bell hop that changed our sheets around 4PM was now working around the hotel in regular street clothes. Earlier that day he had on a uniform. So confusing… Anyways, I, like anyone else requested a full refund for both nights. The desk attendants informed me that I could cancel for the second night(7÷31−8÷1), but I couldn’t cancel for the first night(7÷30−7÷31) because it was past 9PM. I was not aware or informed that 9PM was the latest that I could ask for a refund. However, these accommodations were asinine and not what I paid for, so I wanted a full refund. The attendants told me to talk to their manager Rodrick(I believe that was his name) in the morning about my situation in order to get a full refund. They informed me that he is stubborn about giving refunds and that I would have to «act angry» to get a refund. I called the front desk the next morning and Rodrick answered the phone. Needless to say, I explained how the hotel wasn’t accommodating or safe. He offered a discount on my next stay. Who in their right mind would agree to that? I hung up with him and contacted corporate. I was on hold with them for 30+ minutes and didn’t get the chance to speak to a representative. Meanwhile, my boyfriend was at the front desk speaking to Rodrick about our room’s problems and showed him footage and pictures of what we had to deal with. It took a while, but Rodrick agreed to a full refund. My boyfriend informed me that Rodrick didn’t even want to see the footage and pictures which confirmed to me that he didn’t care ATALL. Rodrick agreed to a refund, but of course it’s going to take 5 – 10 business days for the money to be put back into my account. My trip to St. Louis was cut short due to this situation. I wish that I can give them a –5 stars. SMH.

Wow. I was surprised. Staff was super friendly. Room was spotless. Bed was good … But not home. Breakfast was OK considering the room was $ 69 plus tax. Breakfast area and lobby was spotless. The only negatives are the shower curtain was short and leaked water onto the bathroom floor… a bath towel worked. And the breakfast sausage was greasy due to high fat content, although it was still tasty. I agree with the other reviewer… don’t let the location fool you. I have no idea what the reviewer was complaining about regarding cigarette smoke. I detected nothing.

Because when I say I want a non smoking room, it doesn’t mean put me a a smoking floor in an enclosed hotel in a non smoking room. I don’t want to smell that shit EVERYTIME I walk out my door. Won’t be back. Thats why I called at 3:00 to make a resi so I could get a good room. But he wouldn’t make me a reservation.
