Never been to a restaurant or bar that felt impossible to order anything that felt appetizing. Waitress described that they are known for their Mexican food despite the fact that bar itself appears to represent Irish fare. Online reviews(positive and negative) are also scattered about its fare. From all this information, I decided to try the waitress’ recommendation and ordered a wet burrito. It looked like it was fresh from the microwave and was made with canned items. Not only was it not appetizing appearance wise, it was bland. My wife did not fare better with the fish. We were hoping the beer would make up for the food since it is a «tavern,» however the tap list was equally ambiguous. When we finally got our beers, they were foamy and did not seem to be the right temperature. There is not one aspect that would warrant giving this place a second chance from my experience.

Very disappointing. Waitress was very nice. Placed had a bit of an old feel that didn’t reminiscent, but just old. I got their nearly famous New York Burger and it was less than average. The whopper I had at BK the night before was better. I really didn’t like it. I would go elsewhere if you have a choice.

The popcorn and fried items are cooked in peanut oil. Our daughter is highly allergic and I’m glad we checked before she dove into the popcorn on the table. I know, I know, restaurants don’t have to cater to those with allergies, but with no signs saying that they cook with peanut oil, the possibility of the restaurant inadvertently putting someone in the hospital is high.

This place was okay for what we wanted, something warm to eat after a day if skiing. The service was a bit slow and forgetful, and also slightly understaffed. One waitress and one bartender were all that were visible out front. The food wasn’t memorable but the entrees are definitely large enough that they should be shared. All in all, not terrible but also not someplace I would go out of my way to return to.

Love having lunch on Saturdays. Drove 30 minutes to Cadillac to try a new place. Always go to Unilocal fir reviews. Maggie’s didn’t have a lot of reviews but their website said world famous chili and almost famous hamburgers. The chicken chili was very tasty but wouldn’t put it on the world famous list. The hamburgers were not even close to being on a mediocre list. The burgers come with chips and a pickle… but you have to request it. I had the Swiss mushroom burger. Under seasoned, bun was squished. Very disappointing. Would not go back.

Good food, great atmosphere, free popcorn and cookies for before and after your meal. Really cool décor that reminds you of an old saloon from the 1800s

More restaurant than bar but it has a full bar. Real good burgers. Including Bison Burger(sometimes they are out of Bison) which is my favorite because it is very lean. Their Mexican food is just OK… I am from Grand Rapids and we have some great Mexican places that spoil me so I wouldn’t come here for the Mexican food. They have some fish and steak options. Nothing overly pricey or fancy. But once again, if I want a steak or seafood there are better options in Cadillac. For me it is a good place to go have a burger that isn’t a fast food or a chain. Place looks like it has been there for a 100 years… which it probably has :) I am a tough grader so it gets 3 stars but that doesn’t mean it is bad… it just means it is average but the burgers are real good.

A decent place to eat. I had an olive burger and while it wasn’t the best I ever had, it was good.

We eat at Maggie’s whenever we visit family in Cadillac. Last week I had a great burger and the best chili I have ever eaten!

Maggies rocks. Its home town feel with great service and food. If your lucky ask for Lauri as your server. She has worked there 20+ years and has served 500,000. We will be back.

Maggie’s is one of my all-time favorite places in Cadillac. You seat yourself and then the staff will bring you a free bowl of delicious popcorn for while you are deciding what to order. And you don’t even have to order to get the popcorn like most places! The décor is classic small-town, and the food is great! The beef enchiladas are my favorite, but they also have killer burgers.

Great place to go after a round of golf! Be a rebel and try the bison burger. Decent atmosphere, good bar food, cheap drinks, and addictive popcorn. I swear they add cocaine to the popcorn like they did in the original coca-cola recipe. Rock.
