Going to Morongo Casino to me = getting a margarita at the food court and eating at the buffet before gambling. What happened to the $ 0.99 margarita @ the food court? I guess it’s been a while since I went to Morongo… the place is now a Haagen Dazs ice cream shop. Ordered margarita and Heineken at the Mystique Lounge instead. Margarita($ 7.00): way more expensive than before and the glass was super tiny. It was very potent though. . Heineken($ 5.25): Heineken is Heineken… You can gamble at the bar. Gambling and drinking… such a bad habit: P Good thing I am not an alcoholic: P 3 stars! Mystique Lounge is almost yummylicious!

Had an amazing time! Great atmosphere and great security! The bartenders were as fast as they could, specially with all the people in there! Awesome place to go to, when visiting Palm Springs!

We came here ready to watch the Sunday morning Packers game on our way home from Palm springs… There are a ton of screens in this place, but the packers were on a tiny screen in the very back of the lounge with no sound… it is 10am on a Sunday and we are the only ones here… not about to go huddle around some screen in the back. We were going to take off but the bartender said«what Packers are down by three and your giving up already»… my response was«well we had no idea if the Packers were up or down because we can’t see anything on that tiny screen!» Considering we were the only ones in the lounge portion of the place(though you would think the fact that the Packers were undefeated until this game would have been enough to put them on the big screen) the bartender decided to call his manager and ask him to put the Packer game on the big screen with sound… My husband was thrilled about that and we stayed through the whole game! There were even a bunch of others that joined in around us… smart move on the managers part if you ask me =) Go with the majority to please your customers!!! Thank you Mystique!

I was at the comfort of my gambling zone when I had asked the cocktail worker if I may have a Pina Colada… when they were going to charge me I was in shock! I realized, «Ah, yes. I am certainly not in Vegas and must pay for my drinks? Oh snap!» So, with that in mind, I met up my good friend at the Mystique Lounge to grab a few drinks to continue our merry time at the Morongo Casino. My Pina Colado was about $ 5. Not too bad for a casino bar, I guess, and a decent tasting drink. I still like the idea of free cocktail service in Vegas though…

What a joke. The amount of alcohol they put in their drinks is pathetic. The house drinks are reasonably priced, but they are so weak that they taste like shit. I don’t like to only taste the mixer. I’ve had numerous bartenders and its not a problem of individual bartenders. I love morongo and all its psuedolavishness, and I find it surprising that on all of the money they make off 909ers slaving away to slot machines, they can’t at least give a decent pour in their drinks to make up for it. Also, why is tanqueray $ 5 and sapphire $ 7.50? At least its a nicely designed bar in the middle of everything. Stick with beer here.
