This is a good ga bobs and I love their barbecue it has great French fries. I hate how they use sandwhich bread for bbq that’s retarted. The staff isn’t too friendly. I like the atmosphere of it.

There was nothing smoked about about any of the 3 meats I tried unless you count the liquid smoke added to the brisket. Seriously while the tea was good I should’ve known something was off when I stepped out of the truck and didn’t smell a smoker working anywhere. No true BBQ cook would break the cardinal rule of serving pulled pork that was soaked in sauce already unless the product wasn’t worth serving in the first place. Bobs looks the part but fails some basics in my opinion so caveat emptor.

I am a little torn… I came in around 1150 on a Friday and the rush hadn’t hit yet… while the food tasted good it was not really smoked bbq — i had the combo plate with ribs and pulled pork(only because they don’t serve dark meat chicken with the combo!!!) with slaw and beans for the sides — the ribs were rather tasteless and overcooked with a drizzle of sauce on them — they almost tasted boiled and oven cooked… the pulled pork was really strange — it was dry but was cooked in a vinegar sauce that added flavor that was good but still couldn’t mask that it was overcooked — the slaw was halfway decent — the beans were typical with an almost out of a can taste and as others have said was a small portion overall I don’t regret coming here and eating — i do regret dropping almost $ 12 on sub-par bbq — i probably would come here again and go with something different just to see if it can get better if you come here just don’t expect to have the best bbq you’ve ever had but don’t expect a nasty meal either…

The good: It’s clean and the food is typically hot. The bad: The pulled pork is consistently overcooked, then soaked in a vinegary sauce in an attempt to mask how dry it is. Put a pork butt in your crock pot for 8 hours – it’ll end up tasting better. The ribs are tough. Chicken is bone dry. Most of the sides are canned or frozen, or at least taste like it. The only way this place stays in business is a lack of competition. I’d rather grab fast food in Byron than eat this slop.

I recently used Georgia Bobs catering services for an event. I worked directly with John Cox and he was wonderful. My order changed a few times but John was allows easy to work with. They showed up on time and had our order perfect. The people attending the event enjoyed the food and the event was a success. I would definitely use them again.

It was not very impressive. Good ambiance and the BBQ«smell» waa there. But the sauces were nothing to write hone about. The BBQ was pretty good, but tge tater salad was bland. The banana pudding was pretty tasty.

We were stuck in Byron while our RV was being repaired. We tried the pulled pork platters but wish we hadn’t. The meat was boiled in a sweet tomato– based sauce that even Texas Pete could not spice up. While it may have been«pulled» pork it appeared to be finely but unevenly chopped meat as there was at least one whole slice of brisket and some really tough burnt ends that missed being chopped. But at least those pieces gave some texture to an otherwise mush-like pile of pinkish slime. The fried okra was good.

Canned«BBQ»! Don’t waste your time getting off the interstate. If you want real smoke flavor you won’t find it here. Service was friendly & quick. Brunswick stew was good but tiny(maybe 4 spoonfuls). Sweet potato tots had good sweet flavor but previously frozen. Pulled pork tasted canned and full of vinegar. Sweet sauce was the only thing that saved this bland so-called«bbq». Mac & cheese was straight out of the stoffer’s package and beans straight from the can. If you like REAL smoked BBQ, you will be very disappointed.

I have to say they have the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I pull up to the window to order & the server gets a call on her cell phone. She shuts the window in my face, turns her back to me & proceeds with her phone call. After waiting several minutes, she turns around & gives me this disgusted look like I was supposed to leave, turns her back again & makes another personal call. Bad thing is is this was the 2nd time this happened. I gave them 2 tries & will NEVER go back again.

I had the best beef brisket since I’ve been to Georgia in Peach County. On my way to PCBFL and literally drove straight to it. Best cole slaw since Brooklyn NY! Would recommend to my family and friends. Yum!

Woo Hoo! That’s good barbecue. Looks like a good place from the outside. Inside looks the part too. Classic counter service. Place your order with the friendly lady. Fix your own drink. Wait for your name to called. Chow down on some classic barbecue. Brisket was nice. Pulled pork was on the spot. The vinegar based sauce was the bomb in my opinion. Sides were solid but stood up well with the main dish. My son and future Pitmaster gave Georgia Bob’s high marks in today’s effort. Come get you some! ASAP

I had the pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans for the sides, and it was good. The sides could use a bit more flavor, but the pulled pork was full of vinegar-based flavor. They have fabulous sweet BBQ sauce! The service was quick and price was right($ 21 for two of us for lunch).

Georgia Bob’s Barbeque is a solid barbeque joint. They are a clean establishment and the employees are extremely friendly. They have several locations and this location is their primary. They are military friendly and offer 10% discount in uniform or if you show your ID card! The food is good. I’ve had their brisket and chicken with okra, baked beans, and of course, the amazing brunswick stew for sides. From my experience, the brisket is on point. It is tender and juicy. You cannot go wrong with this brisket. The half chicken can be hit or miss. If you get it on a good day, it will be juicy and delicious… an off day, and it might be dry. That’s the only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars. The sides are solid, from what I’ve had. The brunswick stew is very meaty, with a decent amount of corn and a very good amount of seasonings. The next time I go there, I want a whole bowl of this stuff! The beans and okra were also very good – well seasoned, cooked perfectly. The BBQ sauces are vinegar-based and tasty, especially if you like some spice. I love the spicy BBQ sauce here. I can’t wait to go back to get a bottle for myself. If you’re around Byron or traveling on I-75, I highly recommend giving Georgia Bob’s a chance, especially because they have a drive through as well!

Had pulled pork sandwich, was somewhat chunky. Beans came in a tiny little cup with a spoon it might have been 4 spoonfuls. Otherwise had good taste and was fresh.

Excellent pulled pork! This place does it right. Sides were good, too — had baked beans which were sweet but not overly so, and Brunswick stew which they do perfectly. My one complaint of the day was the long wait for the food. Probably took 15 – 20 from the time I ordered until I got my food. Granted, it was right at the peak of lunch hour, but that’s too long for this type of restaurant. My favorite BBQ restaurant in Middle Georgia!

How can anyone give non-barbecue 5 stars? How can you one indicate that this is one of the BEST meals you’ve ever had? Perhaps you only eat at places, such as Wendy’s or Golden Corral. Everything we had was bland and un-authentic. I am convinced that nothing is actually slow smoked here. No smoke ring, no smoke taste. Pulled pork tasted like it was boiled, shredded, and coated in horrible sauce. This is not BBQ.
