Food was great. Was here for a company meeting and the food and service was really good. Hard to converse as it was loud in there.

Went there last year, and found hair in my food! I haven’t been back since. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Food took a look good time to come out. My wife ordered a steak salad. It had rotten lettuce in it. Did not off to bring out a new one. Said would take a percentage off of the bill. That was not done either. Will not be back. The server Nick tried to make excuses. Said he would tell the kitchen.

Hard to give this place a two star… Great food, great waitresses. However the no one under 18 at the bar is completely BS. Our son has been from yacht club to yacht club sitting at the bar rail. Also has sat at almost every bar rail from MI to CA. This is one of two Taverns(The Butler in Saugatuck) who has this policy. 18yr olds can’t drink at the rail? Poor policy especially when the rail is completely empty. He loves the rail and it started at Wolfgangs in East GR and it came from me sitting with my Grandfather at WI yacht clubs and diners. I could understand if a minor was taking up an adult beverage seat on a Friday night around 9 but this was hardly the case.

Should’ve trusted my fellow Unilocal reviewers & the lower rating… But the place looked ok from the outside. Inside, not so much. Service was acceptable to good… But the food was not great. Server recommendation was the burger — which was literally floating in grease… Ugh. My son had the fish wrap which was good. Bathrooms were nasty…

This place is connected to the hotel next door… Wasn’t expecting too much but I was blown away by the staff and food. Got the pork chop and Mac as a side… You have got to try it… Pork chop was juicy and thick. Mouth watering good. The Mac and cheese couldn’t have been any better, crunchy bacon on top. Not specially made for the dieter but if you love food, go for a run afterwards… Look for Dawn, awesome server and all around cheery and fun person, and of course gives you the best recommendations!!!

Ate here last night for the first time. Our service was good but overall experience was not great. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they took an incredibly long time to arrive. Our server stopped and apologized for the wait and that they would be out shortly and that the manager took them off our bill. When they arrived they were hot and fresh and by far the best onion rings I’ve ever had! Our food arrived about 3 minutes after our appetizer and all of our burgers were cold. Having worked in restaurants for many years I really hate complaining when I go out but the cold burgers just really didn’t cut it. The homemade salt and pepper chips were delicious though! At one point my husband had ordered a bud light draft and whatever beer was dropped off at our table was super hoppy in flavor and definitely not a bug light. It looked the same as a bud light so I understand how it could get mixed up at the bar, no big deal. Our server got a new beer right away and this time it was right. The manager did come over and apologize and took 20% off our bill and gave us a $ 15 gift card. I told her we didn’t complain for a handout but the gesture was appreciated. Don’t think I’d order a burger again but if you’re in the mood for better than fair food onion rings this is the place to go!

Meh. Service was good, but they aren’t really good at handling crowds. Food was standard. No great shakes. Atmosphere wasn’t spectacular. French dip roast beef wasn’t prime, found grizzly pieces. Probably won’t return

Ordered and waited 30 min for burgers and a salad to show up. Slow service to refill water. My burger came on a pretzel roll so soaked in liquid grease I had to request a new bun. The waitress took an order next to us before getting my bun. My hand was soaked in grease I needed another napkin. That took the waitress another 5 minutes.

Food was superb but the service leaves something to write home about. Came in today as I have a family member in the hospice facility down the street and thought this would be a nice little spot to get a quick bite and a few drinks. I sat at the bar and Lindsey was my server. Let me tell you… I think she said about 5 things to me in the near hour I was in there. I played keno and filled out my slip and she just grabbed it… tossed a menu at me… didn’t Clear my glass from my drink till I was getting ready to leave and was done with my second… I finally said something halfway through the meal about the rude service openly but not directly to her and she just kinda acted like she didn’t care. I probably wouldn’t have been so upset about this if 1) I didn’t work in the service industry myself and 2) if she treated everybody there the same but the men who were at the bar were flaunted over and she extended conversation to. It altogether left a bad taste in my mouth. The chicken sandwich I had was good though using shredded lettuce made it look cheap… McDonald’s like almost and the chicken breast looked like it had been butterflied off a larger piece. The pretzel bun was delicious but could have been grilled to add texture. The onion rings were AMAZING. Best O-rings I’ve had in a very long time. Altogether I’d probably eat there again but I’d be sure to stay away from the bar area… especially if Lindsey is working

Staff was very friendly, but service was a bit slow. Food was delicious. I got the waffle fry nachos and they were really tasty. The menu is pretty large and the prices are generally under 10 per meal. Nice place.

Wish I could’ve tasted the food. Sat for 15 minutes on the patio and watched 4 different waitresses walk by us without recognition. No drinks, nothing. The gentleman at the next table heard us talking about it(he wasn’t getting good service either) and went without request to tell the manager. Pretty bad when good service comes from a fellow patron. We drove 5 minutes down the road to Pete’s Grill & Tavern and received drinks and food in a ¼ of the time.

Lollipop chop was good very tender and juicy. Good laid back atmosphere, plenty of TV’s for sports viewing. Enjoyed watching the Cavs beat up on the Pistons. Tip:(for fellow Buckeyes) — don’t wear any resemblance of Buckeye gear because the service from the bartenders will extra suck. They are quite bitter up here!

We stayed at the Hotel right next door and decided to try this place because it was pretty convenient and the parking lot was always full of cars. The food was pretty good and the service was great. So we ended up eating there a second night. Really the only complaint that I have was that the bathrooms were filthy. I had the Philly cheese stake the first night. The sandwich was good and fries were awesome. So if they would clean the restrooms better I would have given them 5 stars.

This place has lot of potential. It’s an average restaurant/bar that has the potential to be so much better. I had a Margarita on the rocks it was pretty good but I like it a little more sour. The bar tender was nice but didn’t check on us. But when we got her attention and asked for something she gave it to us quickly. It seems like a place where there are a lot of regulars. I just think the bar tender could’ve been a little more attentive and observant. Jennifer make a fairly good Margarita so I’ll be back… eventually. It’s close to home. I like supporting local businesses.

Attending a business lunch around noon with a couple of my vendors did I realize what a poor choice of establishments did I pick for these out of town folks. There were plenty of open tables, so it wasn’t very busy for service to suck so bad. Had to ask several times for refills, waited a long period of time for entrée ordering, and again for refills. Food was OK. I odered soup one boneless wings. The soup came out with my other guests food, but the boneless wings came out 20 minutes later. Just as we were leaving. Paid the bill. The waiter made no attempt at an apology or an attempt to adjust the bill. In short, if you are traveling, drive north to next exit and go to truckstop for a quick lunch and neverending attention from wait staff. I will drive a little further next time I offer another business lunch.

Your typical sports bar. Alot of gambling opportunities such as kino, lotto, and pull tickets. Prices are fare and the food is good. The food isn’t interesting, but it is solid. Service was good, place could have been cleaner.

Great place to stop for dinner on the way to Gun Lake Casino! Although to stopped for lunch! Sports bar/Applebee’s: type atmosphere with a wide and varied menu. I had the traditional nom-breaded wings with 24 karat sauce. Mild on the heat, big on the flavor! Great recommendation! I always appreciate the full setup too: bone plate, extra napkins, and wetnaps! I had the Reuben with a side salad(no up charge for non-starch options)! Great marbled Rye bread, and tasty sauerkraut! 100 island dressing, not Russian, but who’s complaining! It’s a sports bar and«grille» not Gordon Ramsays! I also tried the chili dog… Meh… Not my preference, but for $ 1.29, I’m not worried. Great service… As everyone says, a very Applebee’s look. Solid 4 stars! We will be back!
