Briarwood Ranch Safari Park

Briarwood is actually just a few miles from my house, but I had never gone until last year. I wish I’d gone sooner, and I know I’ll be recommending it to friends in the future.
The staff there is helpful, friendly, and clearly love all of the animals in their care. Briarwood boasts two large petting zoos, a pond with a small trail, and a large wooded area full of deer, bison, zebra, emu, and more that you can drive through (along with a gift shop, if you’re into that). I recommend that you take the ranch’s wagon tour through the woods instead, as it offers the same experience with less chance of a buffalo scratching an itch on your car. Such was adorable, but did damage my paint job a little. Plus, the wagon offers a more open area to pet and feed the critters.
Prices are reasonable, and I recommend buying at least two buckets of food per person going on the forest tour, as the animals really gobble up the feed.
Briarwood is a little gem in this area, and if you want to pet some sweet animals, or are looking for a fun event for children, look no further!
