Usually the Ocean State in Falmouth is my go-to location, but this weekend we stopped in at this store after stopping in Buzzards Bay to fuel up. This isn’t the first time we have shopped at this location, but after the most recent trip we will continue to keep this location on our radar. The store itself is well stocked with items but parts of the store can be overwhelming since they pack so much into the space. Although that is the case, the items here are great and we often find exactly what we are looking for. This past weekend we were in need of an air mattress and we found some great deals here. The only complaint I have is that the check out aisles are a bit awkward especially on a busy day. Since their is limited room to wait in line it becomes either a fight to check out or you find yourself blocking others who are trying to shop.

I was glad to stop here and run in to buy some gifts and tourist stuff for the folks back home. Walking in, there it was-a bunch of T-shirts for only $ 5.00! I saw cute bathing suits and lots of groceries there too. What we have back in California like this is called«Big N Lots» and previous to that–«Pick N Save.» The idea behind it is inexpensive! I like that concept. If I walked in with more money, time, and suitcase space-I just know I could do some real damage to my pocketbook here. I dare not go beyond the initial entry perimeter because I know that those discontinued Pop Tarts and cheap nailpolish remover is just what I need! Kudo’s for the great big parking lot on the main drag. Too bad the next door Dunkin Donuts relocated-but then again it just went right across the street. I bet Job Lot in summer is packed with the Cape Cod tourist crowd but in May, it was serene and pleasing. Keep up the good work with selling stuff we do not necessarily need but think we do anyways!

Of all the ones I’ve been to(Falmouth, Yarmouth, Middleboro, Rockland and Brockton) this is my fave. It crowded for space and packed with slow moving touri in the season but it always seems to have the best selection. I give credit to the mgt as it must be a nightmare trying to cram all that junk in such a small spot but they do it well. I even go here sometimes when I have nothing to do(or want to do!) and rarely leave without dropping $ 50, what a chump.
