Holy heck. What a pleasant surprise in the heart of Butler. My fiancé and I were in the area for a show and really had no clue where to eat but good ol’ Unilocal led us right here. First of all, the people working were so nice and helpful. I never know what direction to go beer wise when at a brewery and the waitress had many good suggestions and samples for us to try before we purchased one. We ordered the chips and salsa and we ate it so fast you would think we were starving ourselves. The salsa is homemade and you can taste how fresh it is and the amount of delicious cilantro they use. For entrees, we both ordered a hot dog and a side of beer Mac and cheese(don’t even get me started on how good that was)! I got the porky dog– piled on the hot dog was pulled pork and coleslaw. Again, I ate it so fast! I wish I would have savored every bite! My fiancé got the stank breath dog– yes, you read that right. It was doused in chili, onions and beer cheese. So good! Highly recommend for anyone who may be in the area and looking for good beer and great food!

If it were in Asheville I would give this place a 3 star. But, on the Main St of Butler and the first craft brewery here? It’s a 4. I sampled 5 beers, all good, unique, and served at the right temperature, i.e. Not too cold! I love the names: the Pullman Standard! Employed a lot of people when I was growing up here. Why not brew an Armco? The food was excellent. I had the Shepherd Pie and was nicely paired with the stout. Loved it. I see there’s a second brewery on Main Street about ready to open. All we need now is for Donald Trump to bring back the jobs to this wonderful town. Go Butler.

Stopped in here after lunch while in downtown Butler. The place has a dive bar feel, yet it is not a dive bar. The place is dimly lit with a really long bar with plenty of seating around it. There are also a bunch of tables surrounding the bar area. They have a big chalk board that lists all the beers currently on tap. The tap list included a Double IPA, a Red ale, Pilsner, several Pale Ale’s, a Belgian style Wit beer, some Meads and Ciders as well as a Milk Stout on Nitro tap. I opted for the Wittenburg Belgian Style Wit Beer which was ok, had a little bit of a sour flavor to it, which made me think it was a Weisse beer of some sort but it was probably from the loads of citrus. I also had the Percival Pils which I found to be made spot on to style. Very clean, crisp and refreshing. I could easily see myself drinking several of these in a sitting, though this beer is no session beer as it clocks in over 6% ABV. In fact, no beers on the tap list were under 6% in alcohol. The better half had the Pullman Standard Pale Ale and she enjoyed it. I ‘stole’ a sip or two and found it to be really good. Just the right amount of hops to it. Overall I was really with the quality of beer here. They are also Unilocal friendly offering a free appetizer with your check in. They have a food menu as well, though I did not partake. If you are in Butler area and looking for solid quality brews, Reclamation is a great option!

Pretzel appetizer was very good and the set up is very nice. The beer was good and they had a large variety. I thought it was a little on the pricey side compared to other local brew pubs. I also wish the hours were more consistent. Went to stop the other day and it was closed. They are new and I hope to raise my review in the near future!

What a great find in downtown Butler! The space is pretty large but i could see it getting packed at night. We went around 2pm and there were only four seats left at the bar. The beer selection was nice, they even have a cider on draft. The brown ale was my favorite, not at all hoppy. You can order flights, which is the best way to go and try several! They have a really nice menu too. The mushroom brie bisque was out of this world! I could have ordered another bowl! They also have hotdogs with many different toppings and sides. Make the drive from Pittsburgh, it’s well worth a visit to Reclamation!

YUPPPP4 star rating for this place!!! What an excellent establishment! This place is a local brewery in butler! Thanks to my sister and a few other Unilocalers for this discovery! Let’s start with the selection of beer, it was so hard to determine what to get! I went with the stouts. If you’re not sure what to go with the flights! They are $ 9.50 for 4. Our server KiKi was great and helped us with the perfect selection! My wife went with the Blood Orange IPa. She absolutely loved it because of the refreshing citrus flavor! I went with the Egan stout and it definitely had a strong bold taste that was delicious! I enjoyed it more than my Guinness. The milk stout I got wasn’t as good, but had to try something different. We went with the veggies and beer cheese and it hit the spot. The only down fall was the $ 7. It was kinda disappointing to have so few veggies. Actually this was the only disappointment. The food was AMAZING!!! I went with the pulled pork and was far from disappointing! It had a lot of flavor to the sandwhich. It came with a side of home made Mac and cheese! Couldn’t have been any happier with this meal! My wife went with the hot pastrami on rye and loved every bite of it as well! What a great establishment in butler! We will come back here for sure!

Nice brew pub. We tried the four 5 oz pours and a cider. All excellent. We ordered food based off other reviews. The Shepards Pie would have been good if it were less salty, so may have caught it on a bad day. We agree the sandwiches weren’t remarkable. I highly recommend if you are going for the beer first and want to grab some food, but not heading there as a dining destination.

We stopped in place was kind of busy stood at an open place at the bar for 15 minutes was only asked once if we had been waited on and never got waited on. Couldn’t even get anyone to wait on us or even recognize that we were standing there we will never go back to this establishment again Reclamation reached out o me and most businesses don’t even take the time to care and for that we will try them again.

I like a good surprise. And I have to say my first visit to Reclamation Brewing Company surprised me. I had tried a couple of their beers at Beers of the Burgh but at the time I wasn’t really impressed.(If I remember correctly one of the beers was the Christmas Ale which I didn’t care for.) Fast forward to St. Patrick’s Day when I met a friend for a few pre-theater drinks. I got there around 4pm and the bar was already packed. There were only a few tables spoken for so I claimed one while I waited. I started with a flight of 4. My selections included Percival Pilsner(just released), Wittenburg(a wit that I enjoyed very much), Spurgeon’s Milk Stout(nice and smooth) and Promised Land Ale(clocking in at 8.5% abv). I also got a taste of Redheaded Hottie, a brew with a nice ginger flavor but by the end it was a very strong taste. A bit of a hottie, if you will. We had plans to go somewhere else for dinner but I was impressed with the food menu at Reclamation. I couldn’t resist ordering a pint of bacon and I must say it went very well with that Spurgeon’s Milk Stout. After my flight I landed on a full pint of Promised Land Ale. It’s lighter in color, flavorful but not heavy. I was surprised by the high alcohol content. The place was packed when we left as the band started playing. I heard our waitress(who was very attentive and friendly) telling newcomers that they had reservations so there would be a wait. I was surprised to hear this but I was glad to see a new brewery becoming so popular and successful so quickly. Strong 4 star rating. I may have gone for 5 if it wasn’t such a drive for me. I will return for more beer and perhaps a full meal. Depending on how surprised I am by the grub, they may get that extra star.

Make mine a Double with a Pint of Bacon! I did that!!! Their Double IPA is delicious — super hoppy with nice bold flavor and that Pint of Bacon? Who wouldn’t order that? The Aussie, Aussie, Aussie brew was also a fave. Our bartender Kiki kept it entertaining & fun! This brewery has only been open since September 2015. Beautiful space with a nice sized bar, plenty of tables, multiple interesting options on beer and a fun lunch menu. I ordered one of several pick 2 lunch options — a scrumptious corn chowder and the Porky Hot Dog with pulled pork & coleslaw. Both total winners. My hubby got the Irish Stew & ½ Pastrami Sandwich. His stew was superb but, my hot dog trumped his Pastrami! I do wish they had some hoppy options on their beer menu with somewhat lower alcohol %. Sampling is so much fun when you’ve got so many interesting choices. These folks are very creative with ginger centric Redheaded Hottie and a Blood Orange IPA in the works. The higher alcohol just forces you to tread a lot lighter. Overall loved this brewery & will definitely return!!!

Another stop on our now nearly complete tour of all the Greater Pittsburgh craft breweries, I was certainly impressed with how mature this place seems having only been open since September! Sure, they’re still experimenting with brews(I kind of like the idea of a blood orange IPA coming soon) and I applaud them for that. Having sampled 7(oops!) at lunch I can say that some of them are quite good while others are not to my liking — not that you might not find them tasty. Notable among the latter was the Redheaded Hottie which had an overpowering ginger smell and taste. Wow, pretty intense. I will say that The Double(a double IPA with tons of citrus and 8% ABV) was my favorite. Yum. There were no traditional IPA’s on tap which I found a little disappointing — only 2 double IPA’s and one of those at 10%. Not something you can have a couple of and hope to drive away safely. I would like to see them establish a stable of year round brews with more typical alcohol content — the current list only had one or two below 6%. Sometimes you just like to drink a couple because they taste good and not because you have a «destination» in mind! The space is quite nice and has a very comfortable bar for imbibing. We were welcomed warmly by Kiki our bartender as soon as we walked in(love that!) and she turned out to be a gem. She was great, very engaging and made us feel at home. We were hungry and thirsty when we arrived and were neither by the time we left. I LOVED the menu which, oddly enough, didn’t have a burger on it. But there were so much from which to choose I didn’t miss it! Kiki started us off with the house seasoned oyster crackers which were like crack. And I don’t typically like oyster crackers! For lunch I opted for the pastrami and Irish Stew. While the pastrami was just average, the stew was killer! I will go for a huge bowl of that next time! Wow. My wife chose the corn chowder and the porky dog with pulled pork and cole slaw — she won. This is a solid 4 star place and I’m so glad that more and more craft breweries are opening all over the area. This one is a winner!

This is the best bar in town. If you’re looking for both a bar and family friendly environment, this is it. There’s good lighting, friendly staff and the beer is brewed on location. I should add that the beer, wine and shots are all very much worth the price. The food, while good, isn’t the high point of this place and is somewhat expensive. My only actual complaint is that the music is far too loud. I wouldn’t mind a bit of a selection rather than playing nu-metal and hard rock, either. All in all, this place is worth a visit and should be on your list of places to visit if you’re in town.

After four visits in about as many weeks, trying three two to three different brew each time, I can say that the variety and quality of these original brew is as good or better than most breweries I’ve been to. The food is between appetizer and meal status – good with beer, creative. Wednesday night(my third Wednesday is right now) has local music– talent varies but works with the mood. Talked to proprietors about the sound in the room and they have a plan to absorb some noise bouncing around. They are just starting out and passionate about their beer. Cool, laid back dudes. The littlest one(Ben the smaller) is a bit of a wizard in coming up with new brews. They’re doing something right. Great beer, friendly place. Not a sports bar. It’s about brew and socializing

It’s about time that Butler has a brewery like this! Ambience is pretty solid, and cool, modern décor, but wish there was something to absorb some of the sound echoing from wall to wall. Split a few orders of nachos and ordered a flight of brews, which included the seasonal More Pumpkin? and the Promised Land Ale. Promised Land I tried first, which had a strong, refreshing flavor. It ended up being my favorite brew. And while I’m usually a fan of pumpkin beers, the one he definitely missed the mark. It severely lacked flavor. Also: I want to know where they get their seasoned oyster crackers. Those were addictive and we cleared all the complimentary bowls on the table! :) These guys are just starting out, so hoping to see what’s to come!

Came on a Saturday evening, around 6pm with family(total of 5 people). We were told it would be a 15 – 20 minute wait(which was fine) but it ended up being closer to an hour because of a few larger parties finishing up their meal. I could tell my family was getting pretty hangry but I really wanted to give this place a shot so I went to the bar and ordered some beers to take that edge off. We were seated very shortly after and put in a couple of appetizers while we tucked into our drinks. I had Spurgeon’s Milk Stout(a favorite variety of mine) and it was really tasty. I think people who enjoy Guinness will find this to be a nice upgrade. I also tried the RedHeaded Hottie(lots of ginger, very carbonated, a little hoppy, very refreshing) and Downtown Funk(nice and tart, but not overly-so. Almost cranberry sour). My dad had the Promised Land and he seemed to really enjoy it(he’s not much of a beer drinker) so that’s saying something! Appetizers – Beer cheese nachos and chips and guac. Good portions, pretty standard bar snacks. I liked the beer cheese, but my family thought it was«too sour.» Know your standards for beer cheese when ordering, I guess. Foods – I had the potato and leek soup, everyone at my table got sandwiches. Soup was tasty and filling. No complaints! Just a few notes to finish this novella: –Staff was super friendly and happy to have our business. Paul was our server and he was fantastic. Thanks for your patience and quick service, man. –The interior could use a little boost. The tables are really low compared to the bar, which makes the room feel almost too big. It’s a new establishment, though, so I’m sure it’ll grow into its own. If large rooms freak you out, have a beer or three. –Truthfully, I’d give this place a 3.5 because of the long wait time, but I really enjoyed the brews. So, I’ll just have to come back the next time I’m in town and give an update. I’m really happy to see a brewery on main street and hope it thrives.

Wow! For a place that has only been open a week they have it down! Amazing diversity of the beer line up and the quality of the beer lives up to the promise. Attentive and friendly service — Kiki is great. A simple menu with an Irish twist that delivers quality and value. A pint of bacon! Genius!

Update: Had the corned beef and mashed potatoes. Was a little different with pieces of corned beef. But it was nicely presented and tasty. The bar has bar snack offering if Oyster crackers sprinkled with Salt and dill. They were tasty and come free as you sip the fine beer. Desert was also very good(had a chocolate cake). Not house made but from a small local bake shop in the area. If your in the area this is a very good place to stop by(they open at 4:30 unless its a special day or event) and have a fresh brew and a tasty meal.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to eat here. To start, the beer here is nothing short of amazing. I had the Whiskey Barrel Ale and Promised Land Ale, and both were some of the most delicious brews I’ve ever had. For dinner, my wife had the Irish stew in a bread bowl and I had the pulled pork. The BBQ sauce was homemade and really great. Service was top notch and the owners stopped by our table to make sure everything was good. It was! If you’re in town visiting or from around the area, make sure to check the place out. It’s a real gem!
