Well sitting here at 1:31 am listening to the neighbors party. Called desk no help. Sent email no help. Guess we will get no sleep tonight. Check in staff was nice. Night shift not too good.

THISREVIEWCONSISTSOF: 1. Initial Contact, First Impression & Hotel Description. 2. Handicap Room Description. 3. Challenges. No employee was in the lobby to check us in. We looked around the lobby area & hallways, made noises, and got to the point of calling/leaving when someone finally showed up. When trying to check in, the employee said that he doesn’t have a reservation under my name in his computer. so I gave him the confirmation code and he said there’s no record of that confirmation under my name. What happened was when my husband(who has a different last name) called earlier to reserve a handicap room and gave his IGH number to receive points, the reservation got changed to his name. The hotel lobby is nice, spacious, has an electric fireplace in a wall that separates the lobby from the breakfast room, and has a glass wall that provides a great view of the swimming pool. This is the first thing I noticed. The pool has a lift chair for those who need assistance getting into the pool, a shower, lounge chairs and tables with chairs. The water was cool. There is no hot tub or jacuzzi. It took a minute to get hot water from the shower. There are bathrooms just outside the pool area that requires your room key to get into. The fitness room has a glass wall & requires your room key to gain access to it too. There are 4 cardio machines, but I didn’t see any weight machines, free weights or dumbbells. There is a laundry room with 2 washing machines &2 dryers available for guests to use. Our handicap room is on the first floor(how it should be) and also the first room you get to after walking passed the pool and ice machine. The room is larger than I expected with a high ceiling, a California King size comfortable bed with firm & extra soft pillows, a nice sitting area(sofa, coffee table, a lamp on an end table), a desk with its own contemporary light, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee pot(near a nice chair & padded bench), lights(on the desk, sitting areas, and both nightstands) with outlets &USB ports on the desk light and lamps on the nightstands, and a really big bathroom. The TV is nice, big, flat, and swivels to be seen in the bed, in the sitting area, or at the desk. The remote needed to be held out close to the TV to work. The shower is huge! It’s a walk-in(roll in, for wheelchairs) shower with two nice shower heads(one is average height and the other can easily be lower by someone in a wheelchair. The rest of the bathroom is very nice with a contemporary sink faucet and a magnified lit mirror on a movable rack hung on the wall to be easily used by anyone, including someone in a wheelchair. Being from Florida, my husband and I both think the room was cold, especially while sleeping at night, even though we had the thermostat set at 80*. The shower water temperature takes a minute to get hot, and is challenging to get the water at the perfect temperature. The shower & the sink faucets both poured very hot(hotter than it ever should be) water after it got to the point of dispensing hot water. The toilet seat is a little loose because it moved a few times(about 10% of the time I used it).

Brand-spanking new hotel here, and with hotels new is usually better than old. The towels are absorbent and soft, pillows and sheets are nice, the TV is big and modern. Staff was very nice as well, I was very pleased with my stay. Got a great suite for a good price, and I’m very happy there are finally some choices for a hotel in Butler. Last year only 4 hotel chains were available, now there are 6. Options are good.
