The food is great, the desserts could be better but I’m ok with that, I go there for the sushi, lo mein, chicken and broccoli, baked seafood, beef and pepper, general tso, cream cheese mussels, egg drop soup… I could go on and on! Staff is also friendly and attentive. Decently priced for eat in and take out. Just remember when carrying out, sushi goes in a separate container!

Average to slow service, the food on the buffet was good and prepared properly. The suishi was below average lacked flavor, do not recommend the mackerel it had a stong fish flavor. The dining room was clean as were the facilities.

We’ve been on many occasions. It’s been a great experience each time. The food is goodIEs do recommend the«Wonderful Chicken». I also suggest the dessert bar. The staff is courteous and efficient. There is a large selection and the price is reasonable,

I slobber on myself just thinking about this place! Go for lunch and make sure you take advantage of the hibachi offered. Sushi is tasty and usually fresh to to the amount of business.

One of the better buffet places I’ve been too!!! The service is great! Very friendly staff… Sometimes they are difficult to understand. The food here is pretty good for being a buffet! At first you might get the skeptical feeing of it being like every other buffet but that’s not the case! The buffet has a wide variety of different items! Plenty of different choices for all types of people! My son is a very picky eater, but still enjoyed this place! This restaurant is fairly clean and modern! I would definitely recommend this place as far as a buffet restaurant!

A nice Chinese buffet with hibachi, and sushi rolls. It’s always filled with customers which alone tells you they’re doing it right. Great prices too, an $ 8 all you can eat lunch or $ 11~ all you can eat dinner. That’s word. I’ve had a few bad dishes there which did cause me to take a star off. Sometimes the stomach just doesn’t feel right when departing, and sometimes you remember the exact foods that are causing the discomfort.

Considering this restaurant is quietly nestled between an Aldi’s and a shoe store, Fortune Star doesn’t particularly stand out. However, after walking inside, it’s a little more impressive. It’s spacious, nicely decorated, and features a wide variety of all-you-can-eat buffet selections. Lunch or weeknights are the best times to go, since weekends have higher rates. There’s also a menu with lunch and dinner options if the buffet isn’t your style. However, the buffet is what most people opt to order. I like to build my own plate at the hibachi bar, where I can have my food grilled and seasoned with the sauce of my choice. That seems to be the healthiest option. Sushi also is OK, although I usually stick to California rolls here. There are also a lot of deep fried and sugary options that are pretty typical of this sort of place, with many variations of chicken and breaded items. There are probably five or six rows of food for people to enjoy. I like the deep fried sugar buns as a sweet treat, too. :) Overall, it’s good and reasonably priced. Any kind of dining out for two around $ 20 is a win in my book.

Lunch is only about $ 9 including a drink. They offer 5 or 6 buffet tables and the food is fantastic. Much better than some other Chinese buffets you can find. They also offer a sushi and hibachi bar which comes with the price of the buffet. I have eaten here multiple times and never had a problem.

Friendly staff and very good variety for a Chinese buffet. Food is typically fresh and they have some creative options. The back left corner is fresh cooked food– on a hibachi. It’s kinda hidden but worth the walk back.

This place surprised me in a good way. On the outside, it doesn’t look much other than it tells you it’s fortune star, but once you go in, they have good décor and it’s pretty spacious. I like the variety of food they serve, and the food looks hot and fresh. Good price for all the food, too. This buffet, in my opinion, is better than the dynasty buffet at the clearview mall.

This is one of my favorite Chinese buffets to visit in Butler. The staff does a good job of maintaining the cleanliness of this buffet. Seating is plentiful, so even on a busy night your wait will not be long. The food is always tasty. They feature your usual Chinese American fare, salad, sushi, and desert sections, as well as simple American foods, like pizza, sausage, and ham for those who might want something else. The nice thing about their buffet preparation is that they manage to keep the fried bits of meat(chicken or shrimp) in their various sauces crispy and clean tasting. Sushi varies from California Roll-type to nigiri preparations depending on your time of visit. All are very tasty. An excellent buffet that is well worth the price.

I usually love this place, the food is excellent. but the service the last 2 times sucked. While I am still eating the waitress has come over and practically grabbed the plate right from under me while there was still food on it, I had to tell them NO. Then she came over and laid the bill on the table, so proper etiquette would tell you when you put your credit card on the tray you are ready. but when you are still eating and EVERY time she walked past, «are you ready to pay» after the 3rd time we took the check and set it on the seat beside us. Again she walked by and looked frantically for the check, «then asked if we had it and were ready» We had to tell her NOTREADYYET. I have never seen such pushy waitresses. And when we complained, it must not have done any good because the next time we went back another waitress did the same. Then the one we had the first time went up and I know they were talking about us cause they both walked away and looked back. I will not be going back anytime soon. It’s a shame because it was good.

I was skeptical about visiting this place because of my own stubbornness. I’d been loyal to another chinese food joint in the area, all my life. A coworker of mine finally convinced me to go to Fortune Star for lunch, though. And WOW! These people don’t play around. There are four hot foods bars, a salad bar, a soup bar, an ice cream bar, AND a hibachi! And there was a specific bar that had a great selection of «American» foods, which I’ve always found to be helpful when going to a place like this with wary children or a friend who is only so-so on Asian foods. The service was excellent. They refilled our drinks before they were even finished, took our plates quickly, and seemed to always be keeping the place as clean as possible. Then the check came and it was SO much cheaper than I’d expected it to be. I’ll certainly be frequenting this!

This ish is nooooo joke. I’ve gorged on this buffet a few times when I’m in town visiting my family, and it’s absolute torture because there’s just so much to choose from and it’s all so delicious! Although there IS a salad bar, this is not the place to go if you’re on a diet or remotely looking for healthy eats. But it’s worth it, you can’t beat the vast selection for the super low price. Only drawback? No booze.

The other day, my fiancé and I decided to finally check out the little Chinese place that we kept forgetting existed. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but once you walk in the door it’s a very nice place decorated with wood carvings behind glass. We were there for the lunch buffet, and I have to say that I was very impressed. While smaller than Dynasty Buffet at the mall, they have basically the same selection of food, and it all looked and tasted much fresher. They also have a much nicer sushi section. The only downsides that I could find with the place at all was that you can’t put your own sauce on your hibachi plate(I like chili and garlic with my garlic sauce, and though I asked for it, I didn’t get it) and the little fried donuts were thicker so they seemed closer to rolls than donuts… still tasty though. What we loved best was that it was so reasonably priced. The lunch price was around $ 6.75 a person, and the dinner buffet is only $ 10.25… much cheaper than the other buffet places around. I will definitely be back.
