Waller’s Restaurant

My family and I moved to the area almost a year ago. We found this little jewel of a diner after exploring the area. It is quite small but in a prime location near the court house. Plenty of parking around. This diner is nicely decorated and quite comfortable to dine at. The employees are all very friendly and open towards their customers. We have yet to have anything that we did not like in this place. Breakfast is served all day on the weekends which is one our families favorites, we just had an addition to our growing family and they were excited to see us walk in the door our last visit. The people that work their and those that visit along with the comfort of the diner almost make you feel as though your at a family gathering. Highly recommended if your in the area!

The burger was good, but this isn’t a very friendly place.

This restaurant has ok food but the fact that they charge an automatic tip for take out orders is a deal breaker. The food is handed from a window over to a register and I had to even grab my own condiments. Why would I be required to pay a tip!

Was here today for a girlfriend’s lunch. I can’t say anything against this place. Food and prices were good and the place was very clean. We both had the special of the day… chopped steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and carrots (so fresh and sweet tasting) for $ 7.99. Our server Kristie was great through the whole lunch. I didn’t want to waste my sweet tea and she packaged up a fresh one for me to go… no problem. She provided service with a smile and homey feeling. Lots of regulars so I’m sure the whole menu is tasty.

The food is almost as good as the service! Simple, good home cooked food! It gets no better! The gravy on the country fried steak is delicious (the white)!!! This is on my list!

1^st time here, 1^st impression when I walked in, very clean restaurant. Greeted quickly. Ordered the Monte Cristo, came in no time at all. Was very good & tasty! Friendly atmosphere! Easy parking out front. Prices are good! I like the plastic covering on the tables, easy to keep clean. Bathroom is clean. Would stop back if I am in the area again. Nice view of the old courthouse across the street.

Where do I start, on Sunday February 15, 2015 we thought we would give this restaurant a try for breakfast. What a mistake! The radio commercial tells how good the cinniamon rolls are. Could not vouch for that as they did not have any. Poor planing for a weekend. I ordered a combo of eggs over medium, sausage patties, home fries and a biscuit. The eggs came out with the whites running like water, the potatoes were not home fries but little cubes that had been deep fried with no flavor. The biscuit was so hard that you could have played hardball with it. I called the waitress over on the eggs, as I do not eat raw eggs, and said give me some scrambled. I guess they were short of eggs as they tried to scramble the half cooked eggs that had been on my plate. You never, never take food off of a plate and return to a grill. Food safety. The cook needs to learn how to make home fries, and to cook eggs the proper way. I would have to say that this had to be one of the worst breakfast attemps that I had ever had. Needless to say I will scramble earthworms the next time instead of going to Waller’s Restaurant. l They did not have a zero for a rating.

Great Southern Breakfast. Our group had very good breakfasts from eggs to pancakes. The grits was some of the best I’ve had. Next time I’ll have cheese grits. What could be better. Pleasant service, good food, and reasonable prices.

Very good breakfast! Good prices! They also do lunch. Biscuit is huge and yummy! Had pancakes taste like they got cake batter in them. Fresh fruit, good eggs, yummy french toast. The only thing I didn’t like was the taste of the water.
