Learning Tree Child Development Center

My daughter attends Learning Tree in Burtonsville and I LOVE it. I had her at another (NAEYC accredited) center before in a Federal Building and we had a very bad experience with just a few bad teachers and a less-​than-​caring director, resulting in some ongoing behavior issues with my daughter. It was a heart-​breaking situation and so tough to pull her out and have to start over somewhere new, we were terrified of what this would do to our daughter’s self-​esteem and confidence. .. but I have to say the folks at Learning Tree made it so easy. The office staff and directors and the teachers we have worked with (in the 2’s room) have been wonderful in caring for our daughter and us. The place is very warm and home-​y, but also very structured. They really care for the children and attend to their individual needs. These teachers are extremely engaged (definitely not lazy, which we encountered at the other place), caring, consistent in things like discipline, and communicative. I see them cleaning the place thoroughly every afternoon when I go to pick up my daughter. they do fun activities, invite us in to volunteer if we want (but no pressure if we don’t want). I really can’t think of anything I would criticize. My daughter’s behavior and self-​esteem have been wonderful ever since making the switch. she is really thriving there. And it has changed our life, so nice to not have to feel stressed and worried every day about what kind of unpleasant encounter you might have with the staff (and how bad of a day did my kid have?) when you go to pick up at daycare. On paper that other place seemed like a really good place, but I can’t even tell you (it was just choas in there). .. it has been like night and day between the two. Thank you Learning Tree!
