Amazing little family-founded and run chocolate factory. Although located in rural Geauga County, I’m sure they’re chocolate confectioneries can compete against those of major cities. And honey, Hershey’s ain’t got nuthin’ on these chocolates! Their chocolate selection includes a wide array of choices involving both milk and dark chocolate from solid bars, chunks, bark, with or without raisins, almonds, or peanuts. Some of the finer selections include higher-end truffles and, of course, buckeyes. Some of the more bizzare offerings include chocolate-covered potato chips and pretzels. Chocolates are available pre-packaged and in bulk. One of my favorite is their Milk Chocolate Cashew Clusters — perfect combination of sweet milk chocolate and salty nuts! They offer non-chocolate and white chocolate choices as well such as coconut haystacks. The Buckeye Chocolate Company’s candies are easily purchased online as well. They offer basket, corporate, and special event confectioneries as well. You can also find them in various local area stores like Sunrise Farms and Chagrin Valley Pet Supply. Nothing like the hometown touch as well. The Amish girl minding the store was experiencing trouble with the credit card machine. A phone call later and one of the store owners’ family members showed up just to run the machine.(She could have just as easily told her over the phone to say they were accepting cash only!)
