When it comes to customer service, this Sephora is first-​rate. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable about Sephora’s products. The sales people never seem distracted or too busy to deal with a customer– the same can’t be said for the Sephora Inside JCP in Flint Township. That one is good, but lacks the superb customer service that is the hallmark of this Sephora. Plus, the staff is generous with giving out samples, allowing customers more than the typically allotted two per client that is the norm of the Sephora in Flint Township. Heck, most of the time, they can’t be bothered to give out any samples!
This particular store, while small, carries all of the same lines as other Sephoras, including larger stand-​alone shops. Too Faced, Josie Maran, Nars, Stila, Philosophy, Urban Decay, and Sephora’s signature label are just a few of the cosmetics lines carried here. If you’re into experimenting with makeup or changing up your look, this is a good place to start.
Apart from the cosmetics, they sell a full line of makeup brushes and tools, considering the small size of the store. I picked up some amazing Shiseido skincare products here just recently, which I only found by chance after the sales clerk turned me onto them. The Shiseido skin brightener is to die for and I would never have thought of it had it not been for that sales clerk! I’ve found a couple of great items from the Roth skincare line here as well. «Medical spa» skincare lines are represented well at this particular Sephora and the sales people usually dole out sage advice about what’s good to try and what’s not worth investing your time and money.
On top of the cosmetics, skincare products and makeup brushes/​tools, there’s also a nice selection of fragrance (for both men and women). Recently, the store manager let me exchange a partially used bottle of Vera Wang Princess perfume for a new one because the seal on top of the bottle was damaged and it caused the perfume to seep out and left it completely drained after a few uses.
Occasionally, they will run clearance sales on discontinued lines or special products, often at deep discounts. Always be on the lookout for those amazing deals because the good stuff is usually gone in a heartbeat.
