I arrived at the urgent care with pain in my ribs and shortness of breath. I wrote ‘chest pain’ on the check in form and it was crossed out and corrected to ‘rib pain’ by the lady at the front desk. I am not a medical professional but i thought my ribs are in my chest. I waited for 90 mins. in the waiting room and then an additional 90 mins. in the back treatment area. When i finally saw a doctor, he was so rushed that he wouldn’t wait for me to answer his questions(being short of breath I could not speak more than two or three words at a time). They performed an ECG and assured me that i didnt have a heart attack and informed me to go to an ER. I felt very poorly treated and ignored and then rushed out in the same condition in which i arrived. I am curious to see how my insurance gets charged for this ‘treatment’. They made sure i paid my copay within 20 mins of arriving.
