I have eaten here plenty of times, i especially like their steak madaleons. They are cooked to perfection everytime. The best part is being completely satisfied by the amount of food that is served to me. Before eating your main course they offer a soup or a salad. We sometimes order our food from their website, its easy to do when were in the area. On top of all the convenience the food is priced very well.

If your looking for mouthwatering tasty good food this is the place to go. They have awesome deals during the week as well and I was able to order on-line as well, how easy was that! The interior is a bit older but everything else is great quality. They also have wi-fi to help keep the kids entertained. I’m pretty sure their deals consist of half-price appetizers sunday, monday and tuesday along with five dollar margaritas, wine and other deals as well.

Porterhouse is close to our place so it’s not hard to stop by for dinner. I had a taste for seafood so we figured Porterhouse steak and seafood would cure my urge. Friday night 6 o’clock and the place is dead. I ordered a glass of wine and the pour was awfully skimpy. Bad start. I should’ve known what the future would hold. We decided to try the Cold appetizer. The ceviche was too spicy. The blue point oysters were too big, a little gritty and didn’t taste fresh. It was supposed to include crab legs but they said none were delivered. Boo! Dinner ruined. The ranch that was on my salad was, well it wasn’t ranch. Queen filet & mushrooms & a loaded baked potato(which was an up charge) was okay but it had a weird butter sauce that kinda grows on you after a few bites. The only reason they’re getting two stars instead of one is because of the steak… Not going back that’s for sure.

My husband and I like to patronize locally owned business rather big chains. Yes, the décor of this place is kind of a mix of the 60’s-the 80’s but I don’t care as long as they make a good steak. I had the 8 oz. peppercorn steak and my spouse had the t-bone. The steaks were great – perfectly cooked and seasoned. They fell a little short on presentation and the sides. We ordered the red potatoes with our steaks. They were drenched in butter; aside from that they were flavorless. I would suggest to the cook doing baked spuds with the works, twice baked with cheddar and bacon or an au gratin. The Pablano Corn Chowder that came with the meal was perfectly balanced; the sweet of the corn vs. the heat of the peppers. It was a little on the salty side though. I’ll be going back to try the seafood and the desserts. We had wonderful service – the waitress was very sweet and accommodating. We’ll present a second review after sampling other menu items.

This place has lost it since our last visit over a year ago. Chose to stay local instead of heading into the city, and we regretted it immeasurably. Should’ve known things were headed South when the waitress advised that the supposed«truck with crab legs» didn’t make their delivery as usual. HUGE disappointment, especially considering the legs are a large part of their menu. Ordered the COLDSEAFOODAPP instead… freaking dreadful. The oysters were gray, bitter, and had an off-putting pungent taste. The grilled calamari was extremely oily and had an odd clumpy substance resting at the bottom of the bowl. The shrimp were decent, but how the hell could you possibly mess up shrimp?! Continuing the awful, my side salad had an inedible lettuce stem left in it, and my wife’s disgusting Ranch dressing prompted her salad’s immediate discard. The lone, dimly lit star, was our Filet Mignon steaks. Granted they weren’t cooked as ordered(one was under, one over), and my «King» cut was more Princess, but they were seasoned sufficiently and paired with a strangely appealing butter sauce. My choice side of spinach with garlic was irrelevant; watered down and drenched in oil. From beginning to end, this place disappointed immeasurably. Poor food presentation and execution is undoubtedly the reason the place was empty on a Friday(with the exception of a few apparent regulars). They need some serious overhauling restaurant-wide, starting with the cooking staff. A good wipe down of the interior seemed needed as well; kind of dirty…

We normally love going to this restaurant on a Friday for lunch, but today was really really bad. Everything we ordered tasted like oil(old oil). There was no taste to the fries(except an old oily taste). The salad tasted like old oil and so did our main entrees. Don’t know what happened today, but they really dropped the ball on this one. It will unfortunately be quite sometime before we go back… too bad…

Last night we had dinner at Porterhouse Steakhouse and the meal was excellent. There were 4 of us who each ordered the filet. All of our steaks were cooked perfectly. Service was also very good. We will return and try other items on the menu that look interesting.

Décor is out of date. Silverware/glassware is dirty. The food is decent but too expensive for the atmosphere they provide. Does not feel like you’re in a Burr Ridge steak house. Steak dinners for 5 with one bottle of wine cost us over $ 200. Oh, and their Google indexed website is in Japanese

Went with some coworkers for dinner about 7pm on a Tuesday – the place was totally empty. I guess that might be normal for a weeknight, but the first thing that came to mind was«Kitchen Nightmares». The server was very nice, they were out of several of our drink selections. One of us ordered an appetizer platter that came with oysters, ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and calamari. I did not try the ceviche or oysters, the shrimp were good, the calamari a bit on the fishy side. For the entrée I had the small filet with salad and broccoli. Luckily, everybody seemed to agree that the steaks were very good and well presented. The filet was very tasty and tender and cooked properly. Lots of salad dressing on the salad – guess I should have ordered that on the side. I would recommend for a «good-value» type steakhouse but not if I was trying to impress anybody.

Local joint that serves up a mean steak at a fraction of the cost of other comparable steak houses. For $ 27 I had a huge filet with a peppercorn crust. The quality of the meat is grade A. The atmosphere is a little dated but that didn’t bother me. I came for great steak and left satisfied.

This place is disgusting. Dirty, the food was cold, entrees didn’t come out at the same time, drinks watered down and overpriced. Tried to talk to the manager/owner about food and lack of service… the coward wouldn’t come out of the office. My friend finally went and knocked on the kitchen door and went in. Coward would offer zero apologies… unbelievable. Will never be back ever! Good luck coward with your piece of crap restaurant. I’m giving this shithole 1star so it posts.

My husband ordered the rib eye and it was tough and had more gristle than any steak in a steak house should have EVER. He was very disappointed. I had the Walleye with lemon and capers and it was WONDERFUL. I saw another review that mentioned the dining room needs an update … big time!

When arriving at the Porterhouse, we found at the entrance, two RUSTYKITCHENCHAIRS(like you would have in your kitchen but that have been in the weather for months) –flanked by two pails — yes –Galvanized garage type pails– overflowing with cigarette butts and garbage. Also noticed a general mess of miscellaneous refuse around the property. Should have stopped there(But this is a really upscale area — Burr Ridge and all) Inside wasn’t much different — –old 70’s type not very clean with ech! Asked and learned there is NOCHEF! It’s the cook who worked for the previous owner who went BK in the place and it seems this cook has no $ or idea how to do upscale dining. Dinner was a Lone Star family Restaurant type meal with downtown prices(yes — look at their menu) but with more grizzle in our steaks. Avoid unless you like getting ripped off.

Well the porterhouse is a little out dated. We were the only ones in the entire dining room at 6pm. You would think the service would be excellent with no one there… it was not. It seemed like our server really did not want to work tonight. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was awesome it did stink that you get 4 shrimp for 8 bucks but it was delicious. We thought the fillet mignoin would be the best choice for a steak. Food arrived and a 10 oz steak looked more like a 6 oz steak. Steak was ordered medium and it was more of a med rare to rare. Steak had small amount of flavor had to bask it with A1. I do not recommend this place unless you want pay for overpriced steak that was not prepared by a qualified chef.

Came in here to try their, well, Porterhouse steak. Parking is available around the back and side of the building(N and E sides) The inside looks like something straight out of 1980s, with the exception of the flat-panel TVs. there’s a restaurant side but I ate in the bar area. The one item in the menu that stuck out instantly was the $ 3532oz porterhouse steak. Oh hello. Bread — decent but mediocre. Soup — cream of asparagus — special mention. Quite good! Steak — oh yes. It’s a bit on the plain side, but I was here to chew on cow, and in this respect the steak delivers. However, the 2 silver dishes of melted cheese(blue and I think parmesan) were kinda gross. It looked like they were put in the oven for too long. The steak was served with a soggy slice of raw onion on top. A bit strange to be honest. Pasta — the steak came with some linguine in tomato sauce. Tasted like something you’d eat out of a tin can while camping. I had trouble eating this. Personally I’d give it 2.5 stars. Good for the steak and soup, but everything else was ehhh. Service was friendly though. One last thing — there’s a Wi-Fi network here, but the bar lady didn’t know the password. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Man vs Porterhouse! Go! A rehearsal dinner brought me here — an unlikely setting for a contest. For my meal, I ordered the Porterhouse not expecting anything exceptional. When it came out everyone’s jaw dropped. It looked like someone left a purse covered with a healthy slice of onion and mushrooms on my plate. It was the biggest steak I have ever seen by at least 3 times. I would guess it is the size of 4 or 5 regular NY strips. It thudded onto the table like a patio brick. Around it’s edges was a beefy and salty juice which was great for dipping. Now, this wasn’t dinner — it was a CHALLENGE! Can I eat this much steak, and will I survive if I do. It was a challenge of both endurance and gastro capacity. I suprised myself when I ate most every pink and juicy morsel. Very fun indeed for a guy who grew up a steak and potatoes guy(now a semi-veg). There were others not quite up to the task, but they had enough steak left over for another meal later. Man 1. Massive Steak 0. It was close though. I won’t say much about the atmosphere, but it’s different. It’s definately not Ruth Chris. We did see a locally famous Chicago Bear alum, which I am sure comes here because it’s the only place serving portions that nurish his massive frame.

We loved Tasso’s and went here hoping it would be the same. Nope. The 50’s-like steakhouse atmosphere with Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra music playing in the background is gone. Instead we were treated to the sounds of yelling and cussing customers in the bar and no music to drown them out. Service was good, though. We ordered large strip steaks and were very disappointed. The flavor was good, but both steaks had many pieces of gristle that we had to spit out. I have never before experienced gristle in a strip steak! We will not be back.
