If it a $ 2.99 buffet it would have been too much. The carving station was closed MF the customer service is awful. I was greeted at the door by a rude young man that said yea. I hope we don’t make the mistake of giving them another chance.

Came in with my girlfriend and pops. It was 28 bucks to pay for me and my girl and one drink at dinner time. The food was pretty good. It was also fresh. I had a chicken pot pie and I burned my tongue, I was upset with myself because I was throaty when I came in and drank a couple glasses of milk which filled me up. I ended up eating two plates of food and got full. And that was my time at ocb

Family friendly, kids won’t complain. All american, traditional dishes. Not much flavor for the pallet but the salad and taco bar are good quality. Desserts are a miss, as well as the mashed potatoes. Store bought box taste. Comfort food with options. All around, a little bland and mediocre for me.

Absolutely the worst food I have even seen let alone tasted. Would not recommend ANYONE eat there. Horrible food.

We have all heard of this restaurant, no its not a five star restaurant. Some people might not like this place and that’s cool but I can always find something there I like. Love there chicken, salad Bar, and Mexican bar. They have something for everyone its a good place for out of town guests if you don’t need to impress and you don’t want to spend a lot

We visited a buffet for a quick fix. While I have done OCB buffets in the past I will admit I haven’t been to a OCB buffet in probably 10 years. Walking in you have to pay right away. A total for 2 and 2 drinks is $ 32! Jeez, for that price I could have gone to a sit down. Whatever, I paid and proceeded to get my food. First thing I noticed was that the food selection has been reduced quite a bit. There used to be trays and trays of all sorts of food, now it seems like they use special dishes to take up space in the place of more food selections. There were a couple meats, large salad bar, and couple other varietys. Overall the food wasn’t terrible, it’s what you would expect at a Buffett. The baked chicken was actually quite good. But the fried okra was dry. The salad was meh. Some of the meat look liked it had been microwaved. I thought the sweet potatoes and the regular potato bar was good. The deserts were not bad and there was a large selection there. What I did taste was what you would expect at a Buffett. Overall, I probably will not be back, mostly due to the lack of large selection, cost, and mid to average quality of food. I also would not be pissed off if I was forced to go. It’s average and what you would expect at a Buffett.

OCB has slipped in value for me recently due to removal of steak from their weeknight menu and hit or miss chicken availability. The alternative of several pre sliced steak pieces is not very good. The meat gets cold and looks dull and is served on a veggie bed in a small pan. They appear in spurts and people take them two at a time and pitch the veggies. Likely beef costs driving this change from steak to sliced steak pieces. My two biggest complaints of the Burnsville location is they: Tend to do a poor job of keeping up with filling the pans and the steam tables are usually short several popular items consistently during dinner– maybe the piers don’t hold enough food for the seating capacity. It’s curious to see a server top off a full pan with another full pan while two or three adjacent offerings are empty. The slicing and omelet stations are frequently unattended due to food servers doing several jobs and maybe understaffing. I’m not looking for someone to ask them to cut some ham or cook an omelet. Noticed at peak dinner time the last few visits that the broasted chicken offering has changed to full pans of drumsticks and thighs with breasts offered like every third pan. This may be a cost issue but is enough to stop me from going because for me it’s the chicken. I feel the overall food quality is good and served hot. The management and server attitude is still better than a year ago.

Their chicken pot pie is the best item they serve. The steak and beef sliced by a cook is a hit or miss. Sometimes too rare and bloody.

Really bad. Food cold, no service… people cutting ham never cut meat before, little choices

Update: Things have drastically & quickly improved. Absent dishes returned. The food is fresher. Attendance is up. Maybe someone listened. Old Review: All good things must come to an end. My family came to OCB long enough to see all the changes, from name changes, to remodel, to deterioration of food. Things got progressively worse since the last year’s remodel. A lot of dishes have simply disappeared, some of which were my family’s favorites. There’s a new thing they do all over the buffet — cute little serving dishes, spread out to make it look like they have a lot of stuff, where in reality, that’s where other big chafing dishes used to be with our long gone favorites. What’s left is very mediocre. Attendance is definitely down, so the food sits out longer, gets dried out. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

wow, my husband really wanted to try their«new» menu. this place is such a rip off. the meal was 14.00 plus 3.00 for a drink! the taco bar was awful. dirty, and all the fixings were mixed together because nobody cared enough to clean it. the shells were stale and the tortillas were HARD. The rest of the food was mediocre and the cookies were hard! It just angers me that they could charge 17.00 per person and have horrible quality food. don’t be cheated. i would have been better off with fast food!

Breakfast OCB is my guilty pleasure on weekends when I don’t have to go into the office. Yes its cheap, yes its OCB but who cares you get a huge selection of breakfast goods waffles, biscuits and gravy, make your own omelet bar, and even if you are brave the taco bar is open too. Usually they will send home coupons making it $ 4.99 a person otherwise I believe normally its about $ 7 still a great deal and the servers have always been super friendly.

Lets be honest, you cant go in with high expectations here… they satisfied my cravings for breakfast food and that was all i wanted. We went about 20 mins before it changed over to lunch and got the breakfast pricing and then got access to the lunch. I think that was a nice little win for sure. Wear your stretchy pants though…

It’s crazy but OCB is actually quite good if you select the right items. The pot roast was fantastic as was the chicken tenders. There was some awful items such as mashed potatoes but that is the beauty of a buffet so you can taste test it first. Staff was very friendly and they just added a stir fry station

Extremely rude management! I pointed out that one of the entrees was a bit cold, and 3 different people chewed my head off about how their quality standards and temperature taking would make my allegation impossible. They insinuated I was a liar and a moron. I continued grazing without eating that particular entrée. I guess they got their revenge on my digestive tract, cause much later I was spending a lot of quality time in the bathroom bowing to the toilet overlord. This really isn’t the place I remember. It’s more expensive, the quality of food has dipped, and the people are pushy and rude. I hope this place gets shut down and the staff gets tossed out on the streets, I really do.

I really used to like coming to OCB, it was somewhat of a semi-weekly family night out when I was younger. Up until this point my husband and I still enjoyed stopping in occasionally for lunch when we were craving some regular ol’ American food. Food is not fantastic, but it hit the spot and I liked being able to pick and choose. But, in the past year they no longer impress me. They have changed their prices and beverages are no longer included. They charge 1.99 if you want a drink from their so called«Drink Bar». I am already paying $ 13 for mediocre heated up food and now I have to pay 2 bucks for soda? I’ll pass. But, what annoys me now is the is the unfriendly service(Heavy old lady at the register) and having to be explained too that«the water cups are only for water, if you get soda we will have to charge you.» What? Do I look like a moron? For a while I was going back because I would get coupons occasionally, but the savings are not good enough to get me to come back anymore. Old Country, you need to make some changes, because as soon as we get a Golden Corral, you will be out of business. Death to a favorite…:(

Anyone else get terrible diarrhea after eating here? I’ve gone twice, won’t be going back.
