#79 For now, this review is for the Saturday breakfast buffet only. It is pretttttttyyyyy roooouuuugggghhhhh. A couple big-bodied bikers pulled up just ahead of us. They did NOT go back for seconds and didn’t finish the one plate they did get. It’s definitely a place that will rely on locals for the repeat business. You don’t get any real utensils, cups, or plates. You clean up after yourself. All the food appears to be more for the convenience of the people running the place than is for quality and flavor. Frozen biscuits. Yogurt cups. Bitter coffee. Sausage in a maple syrup concoction. Powdered eggs. Hash browns, were just inedible. Grits so gummy you can’t get the spoon out of the dish. No tea. You get the idea. We couldn’t eat ANY part of their offerings. We went straight across the road to the Waterway Grill to eat breakfast. They do offer buffet for lunch and dinner on weekdays and a Sunday buffet. I have no idea if these foods are«instant» or pre made in quality. They’ve got a cornbread salad posted on Facebook and I do plan to eat the lunch buffet one day, just to try the cornbread salad. The lunch price is $ 6.99, 11:00 — 2:00 then reopen at 5:00 — 8:00 for the $ 7.99 buffet. Some foods on the buffet are Rasberry/Pineapple Glazed Pork Chops, Baked Chicken, Jambalaya, Mashed Potatoes, Lima Beans, Blackeyed Peas, Cornbread, Coleslaw, Cornbread Salad, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Fresh Baked Cookies, Ice Cream, and Chocolate Pudding. When I do try the lunch buffet I will update the review to reflect the quality/experience.
