Essence of Nails

Annette is awesome and does a great job.

My review comes about three years late, but here goes:
My husband and I both came to Essence of Nails right before we moved out of state in 2012. I can’t remember for certain if we had a special – we might have, though. We received our services from Annette. No one else was booked when we had our appointments, so we had her full attention! I received a mani/​pedi, and my husband received the gentleman’s manicure. The salon is small, but it’s very clean and well kept! Annette was very nice, polite, and professional to both myself and my husband. I was also happy to find out she used nontoxic products. I kept the file bag that she gave me and took it with me to the other state and kept it for a long time.
Now that we’ve moved back, I am pleased to discover her salon is still up and running, and I (or my husband!) will be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have to say that this salon and Annette K. are the best in Burnsville for sure. The salon is beautiful and smells relaxing. She uses all of these natural products, and that’s wonderful because how many people get freaked out with the nail tech is wearing a mask and she doesn’t offer you one? Well at this salon you don’t even have to worry about that because she doesn’t use harmful chemicals! This will from now on be my go to nail salon, my nails look fantastic and I have been everywhere in the area to get my nails done and I couldn’t be happier with how they were done here.
The cleanliness and attention to detail at this salon is at the top of its game, no one can beat it on that. Don’t even bother going back to your normal salon after going here I recommend 100%!

I purchased a groupon and made an appt. Annette called the night before to cancel because of some glitch in the system so we rescheduled for a later time the same day with lupe. I went in and lupe had no idea I was coming and if I came back in 30 min she could fit me in for an hour of her time. I didn’t want to be rushed so I decided to get my money back from groupon and never go back there again. I had plans that night that I wanted my nails done. I called Annette and told her what happened and she didn’t even care. Some customer service. I guess they don’t want new clients.

I came to this place to get my nails done after I purchased a deal from Groupon. I was pretty impressed on how beautiful this place is. It is well decorated to create a relaxing environment. The nail technician was very friendly and she offered me coffee right away.
However, the french manicure that I got was very disappointing. I have to say that the nail work is very messy and it is not any better than doing my own nails at home. The technician kept fixing her work and I could tell that the thickness of the white part was not even across all fingers.
If you ask me whether I want to come back? I would say I rather try other nail salons.

A nice small non-​toxic nail salon in Burnsville. There are not many eco-​friendly nail salons in the Twin Cities, so I decided to check it out. Plus, online booking is so easy! I was offered coffee or tea from one of those instant pod machines. The tech was friendly, fast, and did a good job. I received a bag of the files she used on me to keep for next time. I will come back here!

I could not like this place any more than I do. So much so that I trek to Burnsville from Minneapolis to get my nails done :)
I found out about them from a Groupon and Denelle did my gel manicure thingie. It’s been 2.5 weeks and not a chip on them! :) Both Denelle and Annette are super-​nice and they’re obsessed (in a good way!) with hygiene and using green products.
