I love this cabin. My husband, I and three young kids come up three times a year. Built around the 1930s, it’s rustic and reminds me of my Grandmother’s home. Ron and Lois are warm, personable and very accomidating. It’s pet friendly. I love the back porch which has a tin roof especially when it rains. It’s a great place to spend a rainy weekend… very romantic. There is a real suspension swinging bridge on the property which is over the S. Toe River. Our 4 year old twins and 7 year old love playing in the river, albeit a bit brisk. We also go up the road 1.5 miles to the Carolina Hemlocks National Forest and picnic area and go swimming. There are also many local waterfalls which we recommend not missing.
