I would never go to America’s best ever again, these are the worst glasses I have ever had!

Absolutely terrible experience, first I was told my glasses would be in 7−10days, I called on the 10th business day and they hadn’t arrived nor had my trial pair of contacts. 3 weeks later my glasses came in but had to wait another two weeks for my contacts to come in. Right now I have been sitting here sense 12:00 for my appt at 12:15, and have to get squeezed in. There have been people with 12:30 appts that are being seen before me. I told the front desk that I don’t understand why I am not getting seen when I had an appt. I got told well we are very busy and have been taking walk-ins… Why would you take a walk-in over someone that has a scheduled appt. Just completely outrageous. I will no longer be conducting business with America’s best and kicking myself for paying the eye club. Wish I could get a refund on that because the customer service here is terrible. Editing to add sense I just finished my appt, they are telling me my contacts are 120 dollars per box, sense my eyes I different that is 240 freaking dollars who the heck can afford that!!! They are insanely over priced!

After having a bad experience at Vision World at the Burnsville Center, I came to America’s Best to help me get a new pair of glasses. They called over to Vision World to get my Rx and I had an existing pair of glasses redone. The customer service here is exceptional. I was greeted when I walked in the door and they listened to my story of having a bad experience with Vision World. I visited their store again yesterday to get a pair of glasses fixed as one of the screws came out. They again greeted me and took care of me right away. No charge to me and I was on my way within a half hour. I highly recommend this store.

I had a crap experience here a little over a year and a half ago that has been haunting me ever since. I, like a lot of people, was drawn in by the«two pairs for blablah» ad. I knew there were probably three thousand catches, but I figured I’d give them a shot. I didn’t have insurance so anywhere I went was full price… and I thought a second pair would come in handy. The eye exam portion was just fine. The woman that gave me the exam was very approachable and didn’t mind answering a few of my questions. I wasn’t rushed or made to feel like an old sack of malformed kittens she couldn’t wait to throw into the river. All was good. Then the eyeglass selecting portion ensued. That was… much less fine. The selection was highly limited(I saw that coming, but there’s always at LEAST a couple pairs that aren’t aviator frames) and extremely cheap. Every pair I picked up felt like they were shaped from some shitty wire. I ended up finding one pair that suited me quite well and another pair that only made me look slightly ridiculous as a backup option. Yeah. My eyes aren’t the greatest so the prescription was a little stronger. I opted for the anti-glare and scratch resistent coatings but nothing beyond that. My total came up to a little over $ 310 dollars. These were the most basic eyeglasses I’d ever had(I usually had transitions/ultra thin lenses… etc) and they were the most expensive. In retrospect… I should’ve ran. I didn’t. They told me they’d be there in a week and a half to two weeks. Sure enough, I got a phone call that they were there. I went to pick them up… and only one pair had come. They were incorrect. They didn’t polish and finish the sides of the lenses and they looked like massive coke bottle bottoms. The lense was off on the right side, too… the«sweet spot» where you see the best was on the bottom right. I had them sent back. Another phone call two days later. My second pair had come. When I got there, they spent forty five minutes trying to find them and eventually told me they must’ve gotten misplaced. I was irritated and went home. This dance continued… the second pair came and had similar issues to the first. They had to be sent back, as well. I ended up not getting both pairs until a little over a month after they’d been ordered and made a couple pointless«we can’t find them waaaahh» trips along the way. It’s been a little over a year and a half later. I couldn’t wear my first pair after just a couple of months. The clearcoating started bubbling and doing weird things… I couldn’t see out of them anymore. This second pair is total garbage. The hinges are always coming loose(I wear my glasses constantly and they’re always put away safely at the end of the night), the lenses are started to do the bubbly thing and they’re constantly falling off my face due to being loose. I talked myself into getting new ones… it was that weird period of «Holy shit, these are new… they shouldn’t suck this much ass. I just blew a ton of money… it would be stupid to go spend more. Fuck, I hate these glasses. I’ll ride it out for at least a year… fkafhaklfjkg». Needless to say? This place sucks ducks right from the customer service to the product they sell. I have saved many of my friends the trouble of going here.
