Jardin Corona

Food was good and service was pretty quick. Try the Beerita (Margherita with a Corona upside down in it), it’s good but gets watered down from the beer.

Well, they have beer and margaritas and a not-​so-​bad view! That counts for something in these parts… I actually called 3 other Mexican restaurants in Burnet to ask if they had been and this one was the first place that said «yes»!
As for the food, I do not think they make their chips or tortillas, which is kind of an embarrassment for Mexican restaurants in Texas. I loved that they had so many vegetarian options on the menu, which also gives it another star… everyone just seemed to be overall «meh» with their food. Lacking flavor and pizzazz and overall a little too greasy.

We ate here per other Unilocal recommendations while we were on our family vacation. The restaurant has a nice view of the park. The food was very good and the atmosphere laid back. The menu had something for everyone — even vegetarian. They have a good amount of tables for larger parties in a separate room overlooking the park and water. Our chips and salsa never ran out and Laurie our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Glad we found this place! Recommend if you are in the area and wanting some good Mexican cuisine.

I wish I could move this place within 10 miles of my work in Austin … we’d be there often! On this occasion, I was in town for some Saturday golf. This place is not on the main road and you won’t see it unless you know where you’re going; it doesn’t look like a normal restaurant. We went for Saturday lunch and there were only a few tables seated in the place. The service was very attentive and extremely nice — from the greeter to the server to the busboy helper. Tea and soft drink glasses are very large … almost don’t need a refill. The chips were excellent (on the thicker side) and the salsa was very good (not too hot & with good flavor) … just to my liking. I opted for the Fajita Burrito Picoso. The meat was flavorful, the burrito stuffed full, the queso good, and the rice just fine. I have no complaints. My brother’s lunch combo plate was also just as tasty including the guacamole. I’m not sure if they have a deck out back overlooking Hamilton Park, but that’d certainly be a great place for a margarita and queso. I’d have no reservations about coming back to this place. Oh, and pricing was very fair and their lunch specials were very well priced.

Super food, as always, and the riverwalk in Burnet looks especially spectacular right now. The Jardin Cameron is ALWAYS good — jumbo gulf shrimp grilled to perfection with peppers and onions, served with charro beans and rice, guacamole and fresh tortillas. Have a jumbo margarita or the mexican martini — better stick on one!
