Bill’s is now my favorite hamburger place. We have been here twice and both times the burgers were delicious. I got the bacon bleu cheese burger and it was so big I thought they had given me a double. My husband had the chili cheese burger double and he could barely finish it. We know now to share an order of onion rings, the portions are huge! Can’t wait to try the other burgers on the menu and the fried pickles! Yum!

Stopped in here after a long day of moving(we’re moving to Burnet from Dripping Springs). It’s a small place that looked so-so from the inside. We ordered wings, a salad, and some local beers. It wasn’t that cheap but when we got our food it was good portion sizes. We put in our order then went outside to the outdoor seating which was really big! Very pretty scenery with huge trees and creek nearby. They had a good musician playing tho sadly it was mostly country music. He did play a few Irish tunes though. The grilled chicken salad was odd but surprisingly good. It tasted like a chicken sandwich sans the bun due to the ingredients(like iceberg lettuce). The wings were great. Very flavorful spicy, buttery, and tangy sauce. Super good. My complaints would be that the blue cheese dressing tasted a little off. Very bitter and liquidy. The ingredients in the salad, while tasty, seemed a little on low quality side. Lastly, the price got up there quick. Possibly too high for this caliber of food. However this place had an Austin-like vibe to it which is nice in a place that simply doesn’t have much for restaurants. It was definitely a pleasant experience for us. I foresee more visits here in the future!

Trying to mend a tweaked ankle after a grueling couple of days running obstacle courses is not an easy task. What makes such physical abuse worth it is finding local gems like Bill’s. I don’t tend to eat a great deal of red meat and I was excited to see a turkey burger on the menu. I got the fries to go along with it and a couple of self-serve bottles of beer from the troughs leading to the order counter. I took a seat at one of the large picnic tables on the back lawn. A two man band was serenading the crowd in the warm Burnett sun. My order took a bit to come up, but I suspect it had to do with the crowd caused by all the Spartan racers flooding in due to their giant«Welcome Spartans» banner out front. The fries were a little greasy and floppy and I ate them all. The burger was on point with a perfectly seasoned patty and fresh, crisp veggies. This was hands down one of the best turkey burgers I have ever gotten my hands on. Even with all the craziness that ensued, the staff remained attentive and super friendly. So, if you find yourself in this little piece of big ol’ Texas, head on in for some comfort food goodness.

Large portions sizes. Patties are 7 oz each and a double burger and ½ order of rings actually left my husband full. Maybe overly full… Lol Onion rings were huge and fries are homemade and perfectly seasoned. Even the kids meals were plentiful. The grilled cheese is served bun style not on bread and my picky 4 year old ate every bite. Only reason not given a 5 star review is that the wings on the kids meal are only boneless on Tues and Thurs. Regular wings are served the rest of the week and I found them to be dry and flavorless. To be fair my kid did order them with the sauce on the side so that may have played a part. The BBQ sauce was smokey and good but served cold.

Skip whataburger and come here! I ordered a single hamburger all the way with a side of onion rings. Chose a frozen margarita for my drink. The burgers are great! The meat is thin with a slight crisp, portions are filling. So filling that after eating my burger I only made it through half the margarita. I recommend the hamburger, keep it simple to enjoy all the flavors. The onion rings are huge and the batter on them is good. The margaritas are a good size with great flavor and definitely get the job done.

One of the better burgers out there and almost worth a drive from Austin just for lunch. I had the BBQ burger and really liked the BBQ sauce which had a nice sweetness with just a hint of zing or spice. The basket of fries was also good and very well seasoned. The advice I’ll give is to either come hungry or order less than you would at most places. The portions are enormous!

Wonderful!!! The burger and fries were both fantastic. Plus the owners mother in Law came by and scratched my back. She is the most adorable person I’ve ever seen. If we have an excuse to come back to Burnet, TX we will definitely come back to Bill’s! Establishment is clean, service was fast, and the burgers were cooked to perfection. What a little gem in the middle of nowhere!

We stop in Burnet to pick up our son and was told to try this place. Well I will be back here the wings were fantastic. My husband had the double bacon cheddar burger and he was impressed and could only eat half because it was so huge. Great service and we will see tall again

This place has a ton of potential and maybe they were having a bad day, but I was there last Wednesday and arrived before the lunch rush(around 11:30). Stood in line for a reasonable time and had the Bacon Blue with ½ order of Onion rings. The burger and rings arrived in a reasonable amount of time and even delivered by a very pleasant lady accompanied by a back rub and genuine curiosity about where I’m from. The burger however was not very hot like the bun and Patty were pre-made and burger was simply assembled. That was dissapointing. But what really cost this business a star was the over use of salt. Someone needs to take the salt shaker away from the chef. The onion rings were battered and cooked perfectly but the excess salt completely ruined them. If you have hypertension, beware.

Portions are tasty and huge. Even the single patty is enormous, with buttery toasted buns. They will split a burger for you if you ask. The onion rings are chunky with flavorful batter, very good quality. Food took a while to come out, but perhaps it was because we came on the tail end of a rush. If they have the Tres Leches Cheesecake, go for it, its well worth the $ 5.

I like it informal. The burgers were delicious… my wife said, «Give ‘em a good review, honey, these burgers are made with real beef.» I’m a hearty eater and I couldn’t finish the double-meat Swiss and mushroom. Maybe that was because I was doing my best to put a dent in that half order of fries… couldn’t finish those, either, which is too bad because they were really good. Our two grandsons got the kid’s meal wings and devoured ‘em…lip smackin’ good. The portions were ample, the gals behind the counter were super friendly, competent and attentive. Oh yeah… we’re pretty picky about iced tea and theirs is good. Also had a long neck beer that was iced down in rustic wood coolers that formed the order line to the counter. Small, cozy place with 3TV’s…we will definitely be back.

My first visit a few months ago was a good experience, unfortunately the next couple of visits were less impressive and my last visit was terrible! I don’t know if there’s a new kitchen staff or what but it is definitely not worth the wait or the money! The meat patty was thin, over cooked and the top of the bun was burned! I can’t believe that the girl at the window let it go out to the customer that way! I had a debate with my son over who made the best burgers. He said Huey O’s and I said Bill’s Burgers. I guess he wins. Huey O’s has the best burgers in this area!

Easily the best burger and fries I’ve had in a long time. I had the Bacon Blue, my wife had the Naked Bird, and my kids had the kid cheeseburgers. The Bacon Blue burger was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of greasy, and came with mayo and mustard on it. And it was big! The fries were seasoned heavily with salt(just the way I like them) and a bit of pepper too. Fried perfectly in good oil. My wife said the Naked Bird was excellent too and was certainly not just a frozen chicken patty which was reheated. The kids both ate their burgers and most all the fries. This is especially amazing considering our 3 year old eats like a bird. We’ll be back next time we find ourselves in Burnet!

Bill’s has the best hamburgers in town and the surrounding area, bar none. The folks who run Bill’s previously operated a popular full-menu restaurant called The Maxican, so they are no strangers to the restaurant business. Onion rings are superb as well. Be careful when ordering; the burgers are huge, and you get a copious amount of onion rings. Be sure to bring your appetite and, if you’re lucky, Mamaw will give you a back rub, just as she did at The Maxican.

So excited! A great place to eat, not too far from Liberty Hill! We had boneless wings, onion rings, fries & fried pickles. All were delicious. Juicy chicken tenders with good flavors! We did the ranch rub, garlic Parmesan & honey chipotle. Kids liked them all. Onion rings were a stand out for me! Crispy!!! Also– fantastic homemade(I think) ranch & blue cheese dressing. Clean comfy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Big parking lot. 4 thumbs up from our family!!!

New venture by the owners of the Maxican Restaurant here in Burnet. For now it has a basic menu of hamburgers & wings. We tried their medium wings and a couple of the burgers. Burgers were wonderfully juicy, with the buns toasted on the flat top before assembly, so we got the full old fashioned greasy, buttery effect. Handcut fries and onion rings rounded out our meal & helped us cool down a bit after the wings. There are 2 or 3 levels of hotness available beyond the medium we had and those who brave that hottest level have my respect. Great burgers and really flavorful wings in a casual atmosphere will bring me back again.
